Best WLM Reviews

Entering the restaurant, is like a portal to another world. We really loved the atmosphere. Our waiter was very patient and kindly explained to us that usually the orders are taken by the bar(he made an exception and took our order at the table since we went first in thing in the morning). We started with some loaded fries, which so far, I have to declare as best I have ever had; pulled pork in barbecue sauce, a bit spicy, a bit sweet…. some crunchiness… perfect amount of everything you might dream of. I picked the deep fried chicken, and it was delicious! The rest had burgers, they said was yummy. What was really obvious, it was the fact that the food was cooked there, from scratch. Not some ready to go previously frozen stuff. I am really looking forward to come at dinner time and try their smoked meats.
Came in for the happy hour and it didn't disappoint! I really like the dive bar vibe and "grandpa's 70's man-cave basement" decor. I was a bit confused how the service worked, but after sitting for a minute I realized people were ordering at the bar and getting taking numbers back to wherever they decided to sit. I was next in line, but a waitress that wasn't busy came and took my order on a tablet instead of making me wait!
I got a Rainier and an order each of the happy hour ribs and wings. The slaw was bland but the ribs were delicious and much meatier than I expected. Wings were also a good size, crispy skin and piping hot from the deep frier (food was at my table within 5 minutes of ordering.)
Someone came around every 10-15 minutes to see if I wanted anything else and clean up whatever plates I was done with, and when I asked the last person to close me out they had a tablet and handed me the bill right then. Excellent service and delicious food, and the price was definitely right during happy hour ($16 and change before tip.) I'll be back for sure!
The Cut Shop in Woodinville presents itself more as a bar than a traditional restaurant, which is a crucial distinction for potential diners. My family and I decided to give it another shot after a disappointing experience years ago. Unfortunately, our recent visit on a Friday night reinforced our initial impressions.
Atmosphere and Service
Upon entering, it became clear that the Cut Shop is designed for a lively bar experience rather than a family-friendly dining atmosphere. The noise level was overwhelming, making conversation nearly impossible and contributing to a headache rather than a relaxing dinner. The self-service model requires patrons to order at the bar, find their own seating, and fetch their own drinks. While some staff were present, they were few and far between, leading to a lack of guidance for newcomers like us. My interaction with the bartender was particularly frustrating. When I approached to place our order, I felt dismissed and met with impatience. This attitude was not conducive to a welcoming environment, especially for those unfamiliar with the ordering process. The noise and the bartender's demeanor combined to create a less-than-pleasant experience.
Food Quality
We ordered two items from the Happy Hour menu—Pulled Pork Sandwich and Mac & Cheese—and the Basket o' Chicken and Alabama Smoked Chicken. The Basket o' Chicken was crispy but disappointingly dry, while the Alabama Chicken was excessively smoked, lacking enough white sauce to balance the flavors. The dry rub was overly cakey, making it difficult to enjoy the chicken. On a positive note, the pickles served with the meal were excellent. The mac & cheese was decent but unremarkable, and the pulled pork sandwich had good flavor, though it suffered from an inadequate sauce-to-bread ratio. Overall, the food did not live up to expectations, especially considering the noise level and service issues.
Conclusion
While we encountered a couple of friendly waitstaff members, the overall experience at the Cut Shop was disappointing. The combination of mediocre food, a chaotic atmosphere, and a lack of attentive service has led us to decide that this will be our last visit. The establishment seems to cater to a specific clientele that enjoys the bar scene, but for those seeking a more traditional dining experience, it may not be the right choice.
So... one of the bartenders to me about the Wednesday special, 38oz true Tomahawk steak. I emailed them an order for the next Wednesday night. Three of us showed up thinking, no problem, we will destroy this thing. Wrong! We didn't even make it halfway. I highly recommend everyone try though. Perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Great food, super friendly staff, great drinks. The owners are doing something right. You can tell the staff really enjoy their what they do. Well done.
Service is great and the atmosphere is so cool! It is pretty loud inside though with voices and music, and I don't recommend getting food as takeout or to go it's significantly better at the restaurant. Overall, all the food is good! We got the Alabama Smoked Chicken most recently, and it had amazing smokey flavor!
Ordered the basket of chicken, Nashville hot style. It came out in a wire basket and a piece of wax paper soaked in hot oil, which then dripped on my shirt and pants staining them while the waitress set it down.
Hot oil continued to drip out of the wire basket, covering the table in hot oil and dripping off the edges of the table. When we asked staff about this, they said they'd never had complaints before about this and blew me off.
Very cool vibes in this place and outdoor seating options! I came here for lunch with my wife and we split the corn fritter appetizer, the fried chicken, and a steak. The fries were awesome and the portions were filling. Will definitely be back when the weather clears up again.
This is a lively 70’s themed bar and grill. You order at the bar and they bring you the food. Food was very good, I will be going back to try other things. We went at lunch time and the place was packed with a few seats open. I had the Hot-Hot chicken sandwich and on a scale of 1-10 for heat it was a 5, enough to feel a little heat but not overly hot that you can still enjoy. I’d bring some cash and tip the person on the floor refilling the drinks, I don’t know how the tip system works, as the system asks for a tip when you order. Plenty of beer an wine, including several drafts.
