I recently had the pleasure of experiencing WoodChips' catering at a wedding, and it was a culinary delight! The meal kicked off with their egg rolls as an appetizer, and let me tell you, they are an absolute must-try. The steak and cheese and fried pickle egg rolls are to die for—crispy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying.
The bone-in wings, served with no sauce, were packed with so much flavor that sauce wasn't even necessary. They were perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned just right. The mini sliders were another highlight of the meal. I highly recommend trying both the fried chicken and Cuban sliders—they were small bites of pure joy.
WoodChips may be a smaller restaurant, but it's absolutely loaded with flavor. Whether you're looking for a catered meal or a spot to sit down and enjoy some delicious food, this place is a winner!
I’ll be honest I’m not much of a BBQ fan but Woodchips catered my cousins wedding and I actually loved it so much I just had to visit their location to get more. I’ve been several times now. The Eggrolls are absolutely delicious. The Asian Orange Sauce is fantastic. Their Mac n cheese is homemade but without all the usual homemade Mac n cheese mistakes. Rich and cheesy but not mushy. The root beer on tap was awesome as well. The salad (not pictured) could have used more chicken for the price but overall it was good. Service is always on point and the outdoor patio relaxing.
Barbecue! This is why I feel sorry for vegetarians and while I'll never be one. Beef, pork, chicken &/or sausage, slowly roasted over a wood fire. That's primal, that's going back to cave people times, pre-writing, pre-language, when we just grunted at each other. If you smelled fire and meat cooking, that was safety & survival. We are drawn to it as a species. Vegetarianism is a choice and I respect it, but I ain't living it.
The menu is quite extensive and it took me several minutes to finally make a decision. The jambalaya was very tempting but I order the pulled pork platter with Brussel sprouts & coleslaw. It showed up quickly, maybe three minutes.
Meat was very flavorful, a touch salty (from the rub, I suspect) and a bit dry, tender but cool.
Brussel sprouts were a touch on the charred side but had a nice vinegary bite.
Cornbread was just a mini muffin, room temp and bit chewy and dry.
Coleslaw was a outstanding. Well sauced without dripping, great flavor, too.
Service was attentive and polite but not in your face .
Music was intrusive even though it was classic rock. Turn it down a bit, eh?
There is outdoor seating as well, weather permitting.
As a Belgian I had to try the Brussels Sprouts! They are amazing!

We visited on a Friday afternoon, around 4:30pm. We had no issue being seated promptly. Our server, Ashlie A., was insanely attentive! I don't think my drink ever had a chance to drop below half full and she was getting it topped off every time. Excellent service from her!! We had an appetizer, and a to-go order, and she put them in at separate times so that everything came out when it should have. Regarding the food, we had the Burnt End Loaded Fries, with jalapeños, they were excellent! I had the Carolina Combo and the wife had The Eagle Wrap. Everything was very good, will be returning when in the area. Thank you!
We came in during the dinner rush. We had to wait a little bit to be sat but their waiting list system is great. They text you a link and it shows you where you are in line and how long you have waited. We maybe waited 25mins. Once we were sat Shaylee was our server. You could tell she was busy as the restaurant was completely full but she came right over and greeted us with a smile. She asked us if we had ever been to the restaurant before which we had and welcomed us back. She provided lots of good suggestions when we asked about certain dishes. I ordered a bunch of side dishes and my husband ordered the Big 3. Food came out hot and the order was all correct. We also like the variety of BBQ sauces they offer which our server also explained to us. Anytime we needed something our server got it for us right away. She also kept our drinks full. Great service, great food, reasonable prices. We will be back.
Woodchips serves a sumptuous portion of food and also ensures that you can customize your food in any way possible. Totally loved my eating experience here, and I'd love to come here again.
