This is a great restaurant located right on the edge of the water. If you're looking for good seafood when you are in Plymouth, this is a great choice.
They were a little bit busy but the line was moving fairly quick. I ordered the seafood combo with clams, oysters and shrimp which was really good.
It was a huge amount of food and overall the food was very flavorful and cooked perfectly.
And they have outdoor seating out back on the pier.
If you are looking for fresh and delicious seafood, this place is your place. The food is excellent and the service is fast. You order your food at the register and they will give you a ticket with your number. At the window they will call your number when the food is ready. There are tables inside and some picnic tables outside. Both areas are nice and cozy. This is one of my favorite places to eat in downtown Plymouth.
Good food with good views. The kitchen was having a hard time keeping up, but the food was fresh and hot. Had the fried oysters and they were cooked perfectly. My wife had a huge portion of haddock, wonderfully prepared.
We stopped by on our way to see the Mayflower. They didn't have any raw oysters, but we were able to eat our fill of amazingly fresh seafood at a reasonable price. The casual style of ordering at the counter and picking up was nice. I also liked the sight of students working briskly, probably because it was summer vacation.
Clearly a fan favorite, as a local snowbirder recommended it to me. I had some of the best fried clams I've had in a long time. The pricing was reasonable, especially given the portion sizes, food was on point, and the atmosphere was just what you want from a dockside diner.
So disappointed. I remember Woods being hallmark for lobster but wow have they slid in quantity, value, and service. From the hollering teen who quite literally yelled my number three times while I was standing in front of her to a lobster roll with mayo slapped on top (not mixed). Roll was minuscule as compared to other area rolls at same market price, served with overcooked fries. Had to go back up and ask for everything from straws to picks for lobster. Don’t waste your money based on their historic reputation. Much better value elsewhere.
What a great place to stop and get some seriously fresh seafood after exploring Plymouth! The staff was pleasant, the restaurant was clean, the view was great, and the food was AMAZING. Also, the prices were VERY fair for the portion sizes and quality!
My wife got the Fish & Chips and I got the fried Seafood Platter, and we both got fountain drinks. Total was around $46 I believe.
What else can I say—go eat there!!
The food was most excellent! The prices were fair and the quantity of food was amazing. My husband and got the seafood plater, and shared it, and it was definitely food for two people to share! We would highly recommend!!
