Best WLM Reviews
I had never tried this place so....we did now! The interior is what you would expect from such a restaurant. Its a very casual place, with clean and simple decor. The menu is not too big (big menus=not fresh food) and the food is what you would look for at a typical BBQ and grill spot. I had the Tri-tip and loaded baked potato, the mini-sliders, the BBQ chicken, regular baked potato, and the Mac 'n Cheese. The part that shines the most are the meat dishes, the sides are a bit so-so, with the Mac'ncheese tasting very American-cheese-slice-forward. The sliders were pretty darn good and so eas my Tri-tip, maybe it arrived a. It more than medium, but ok. Overall it's a great place for the family and casual meals, the prices are pretty good too.
Very good food. Lot's of BBQ options and some non-BBQ fare as well. Good cocktails and a decent beer selection. The garlic rolls that are served with the meal are a great starter.
This visit we ordered beef ribs, pork baby back ribs, and an Asian chicken salad. Both the beef and pork ribs were tender and delicious with a nice smoke flavor and good sauce. The Asian chicken salad was very satisfying and flavorful as well, we were worried that ordering a salad at a BBQ place might be a misstep but we we very pleasantly surprised. For dessert, we had the peach crumble which was served warm with a vanilla bean ice cream...it rounded out the meal perfectly.
The service was excellent...prompt and attentive...and our server had such a welcoming personality. We visited on a Friday night during peak dining hours so the place was busy, but we never felt forgotten or neglected.
Parking in the area can take a little patience but it's worth it.
A great dining experience.
Great food & service. I gave atmosphere 4 stars because it's so noisy (like so many places). I had a House Salad, Baby Back Ribs (5 bone slab), Mac & Cheese, Corn on the Cob, followed by Peach Crisp (no cobbler). All delicious. Very attentive service. I was very happy.
The hostess was very pleasant and welcoming and we had our table after a short wait.
Julia greeted us with a smile and was incredibly friendly. It was a nice way to start our 10 year anniversary celebration.
She got our drinks and brought the most amazing looking rolls. Then quickly took them away because we told her about our keto lifestyle. It was a sad moment because the rolls are amazing but I am glad that she took them away fast and with a smile.
Our orders came out quick, correct and she made sure to check on us even bringing us one last refill for the road.
All in all it was a great experience so thank you Wood Ranch but more importantly that you Julia for the great service.
Ps I have to say that my steak was a perfect rare and I am also thankful for that.
Great amount of space, love that they have designated parking, and benches to sit at while you wait. The Mac and cheese is al dente which is firm in a good way. Everything was to my liking. Would absolutely return
Came here on a Saturday after with a party of 7. Got seated right away.. our server was great! Wish I could have gotten his name to give him credit. The portions and price is great! Their bread.... yumminess... the only thing was their famous onion LOAF. Well, it didn't come as a LOAF.. just a massive plate of fried onions... and their mac and cheese were a little off. The pasta was a little hard and the cheese was THICK
I went to Wood Ranch for lunch on August 9 approximately 1:30 to 230. Sat in the bar area. It was the worst decision I’ve ever made. It was the worst bartender and service ever given. I don’t hate on Wood Ranch. The service was just horrible. I will continue going to Wood Ranch in Northridge, but just stay away from the one in Burbank. Very low class service specially the bartender during the day.
Ordered takeout while at a hotel in Burbank to enjoy while watching the World Series. Order was severely incorrect and missing half the food. I called and asked for the correct items to be sent over to fix things; "impossible!" they told me. Since that call I've spent over an hour on the phone trying to calmly deal with Sidney, Johnny, and Larry (managers) and over two weeks later I have still not received the promised refund. I called to follow up again and according to Larry not one of those three managers have done anything in two weeks to get my refund to me.
My last conversations with Sidney and Larry both again included being told, "We cannot issue you a refund. It's impossible! It's completely out of our hands."
These guys need to quit hiding behind the word "impossible," own up to their mistakes and FIX things.
HORRIBLE experience overall after years of regularly patronizing this place, bringing many guests, and its other locations.
Will be calling corporate next week if things are still not resolved.
