I had the steak frites and my sister had the burger. Both were absolutely delicious. My parents said the autumn flight was very tasty. Overall I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something tasty to eat with a great view.
Service was impeccable. Food was delicious and the snow globe was so pretty. Great experience with an amazing family
We usually go to the Hartford location so we were shocked at how different (bad) the quality of the food was here because we’ve never had a bad experience at our regular location. Our server did a fantastic job but the rest that was out of her control did not go well. We waited around 20 minutes for our food to arrive at the table just to realize that my wife’s food was room temperature - the plate was very warm however from the hot lamps I assume so I know the server couldn’t have realized the food on the warmed plate was not warm anymore. My salmon was also about 2/3 - 1/2 the size of the salmon I usual get at the Hartford location. I’ve gotten the salmon 3 separate times there so I feel fairly confident in saying the portion standard for that dish was lacking here. And considering we were paying the same price it was very upsetting to receive significantly less ounces of salmon than usual. We had to wait another 20 minutes for my wife’s re-fire dish to come out so I ended up having to eat mine without here so that I wouldn’t also have to eat cold food. When you are both hungry and one of you has to just watch the other eating in front of you while you have nothing it does not make for a good dining experience. I will say her re-fire dish was much better quality and looked visibly fresher and was at an appropriate temperature that time! My wife’s dish was taken off our final bill, so I did appreciate not having to pay that amount considering everything that went wrong with it. Something else to note regarding accessibility, if you’re going to have a multi level restaurant with an elevator for accessibility, it would be a good idea to train the host staff to check with guests first on if they would prefer the elevator or stairs when seating them on the second floor instead of walking directly towards the stairs at a brisk pace and not even looking back. My wife has a disability that’s not visibly obvious, much like the other 10% of Americans who also have an invisible disability. So it was stressful for her to have to navigate going up the stairs in a rushed manner no less. And then when we tried to at least use the elevator to go down, the buttons never responded and the elevator did not come up to the second floor for us so she had to use the stairs again. I think this location is just not for us and we will be sticking to our usual one in Hartford from now on.
We arrived late in town and on a Sunday they were still serving dinner. Our hotel manager and Uber driver both said that we would like it and they were not wrong. The food was delicious and the tap menu had plenty of choices. Service was on spot!! My only regret is that we couldn't be there during the day and enjoy the river view!!! Even at night it was pretty!
We had the best igloo experience. This is one of my favorite places to eat. Our waitress Anna was the best. She gave 5 star elite services like if we were in the concierge lounge.. Everything was great that night. From parking, food, service, atmosphere, even the bill. Anna was friendly, personable, and engaged with our table talk. The night was perfect.
The place looks too expensive for an adv Joe like me, but we were impressed and happy with everything including the bill. After glancing at it the summer menu seemed a little pricy. The waitress suggested we split a salad as she said it was a generous portion and we all ended up happy. The view on the deck can’t be beat. My kids (10 & 13) had many options. Both enjoyed their meal and to quite my son “This place is a 10.” Don’t be afraid to bring your family. Enjoy.
We had our son and daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner here and all 25 of us loved it. It’s a beautiful location right on the Farmington River. The staff were friendly very attentive. The food and drinks were seasonally perfect and it was all reasonably priced.
