Wood County hospital has been fantastic working with our son with a rare syndrome. They have patience with him when he needs a blood draw. They understand his needs and provide appropriate services for him whether he is in the lab, the ER, ICU, receiving OT or PT services. They go above and beyond and should get recognition for their quality services. Thank you to all of you working with our son????
The nurse left me in the room for 45 minutes and came back to say she forgot about me. Also, the gown I received had blood stains on it. Then the first nurse tried to draw my blood, I told her that my veins are small. She proceeds to prick me 3 times on both arms. The second nurse comes in and pricks me 5 times total while she was moving the metal needle in and out of its plastic casing. Then as she puts the saline through the tube for the IV, the saline is stinging my arm because it wasn’t placed correctly. After I told her to not and to give me water instead. I get one cup of water during my whole visit which was about 3-4 hours, and the reason I was there was because of dehydration. They didn’t tell me the blood testing they were doing. When I called and asked why they wouldn’t inform me what they were doing with my blood samples the lady told me that it’s too much to explain and that we wouldn’t understand so there’s no point of informing me. The next day my arms were bruised from where they chased my vein with the needles.
Great group of people working here. Shout out to all the teams that work in the 3rd floor in the maternity area. Many thanks to the nurses, doctors, surgeons, anesthesia team, environmental people as well. They all were wonderful with my daughter ❤️ ???? ♥️. Great hospital
I had a pleasant visit at the Women's Center. The tech was very friendly and kind. She definitely made the experience more comfortable. Ladies, don't skip your yearly mammogram.
When arriving my husband was in alot of pain. Waited in the waiting room for over an hour. When asked when we were going to be seen they said we don't know we had a code . So are they not staffed enough? It was not busy. We ended up leaving and going to st mercy and they were amazing got us in withing 20 minutes and we're way busier but they kept us informed and were great. Wood county was not great and very upset at this.
Delivered my first baby at wood county hospital and they were amazing! All the doctors and nurses were very supportive and informative. At first when my insurance changed and I was going to have to deliver in BG I was mildly annoyed (my ob for the past decade plus has been 2 miles away at promedicas flower hospital, i live in Sylvania township) but it was a blessing in disguise.....nice yet quiet hospital full of compassionate medical professionals! I hope they know how amazing and appreciated they are! Thanks to the moon and back!
Doctor was amazing! Really helped me figure out some stomach issues! Nurse? ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! Was rude to me when I got there, told me I was “hard to to look at because of my extreme weight”. She was extremely unprofessional, kept scolding me on how I was “wasting resources by going to the ER for unconsciousness” made me feel absolutely disgusting. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical staff. Had a short straggly bob with god awful highlights, but I left her alone. Her? About my weight? She couldn’t stop talking about it. Will NEVER be back.
My stress test went smoothly from start to finish. All of the nurses were great, friendly, and explained all the steps. First class all the way through.
