Best WLM Reviews
Had a quick lunch. They had a nice crowd due to football. Service was great. The onion rings were awesome. This was our first time trying this restaurant. The egg rolls were not a favorite for me the meat had a little too much gristle.
Heard a lot of mixed things about this place. Decided to come and check it out myself. I got tacos, fries, and wings. All recommended to me by my waitress. Think her name was Kali. She gave the best recommendations ever. Food was pretty good for a sports bar. Her Service was impeccable , she was very much helpful and answered all of my questions. Will definitely come again. Keep up the good work, Kali. We need more people like you out there.
Quick to go be seated and to order however this food is horrible. Husband hated the wings that were so hairy. Not crispy at all and cold. Hush puppies were crunchy in the outside but somewhat raw in the inside. Very soft and fluffy to the point that it falls apart.
Pineapple coleslaw has canned a couple of pineapples in it but not fresh. Chicken sandwich wasn’t bad but def small and bread was thick and falling apart as well. Overall not a place a will return. The only things I enjoyed was the celery and carrots sticks.
Pain killer and rum runner are weak and not really worth the time.
Friday night 6:30 pm and they are busyyyy! Wait for 2 was 30-35 minutes but luckily we found seats at the bar. HH luckily goes until 7pm. They use a QR code for the menus and I had a tough time deciding which cocktails I wanted to try lol. I ended up choosing the Mojito Smash as my first cocktail and enjoyed it. Butttt then I saw one of the speciality olympic cocktails that had peach rings and I think ginger in it; I liked it a lot.
The food was great! This was my first time dining here but I’ve had leftovers from my boyfriend’s previous orders and eaten at their sister restaurants. The fried pickles were to die for. I’m not sure if they use the same breaker as they do for onion rings and their chicken but it was so crunchy. My boyfriend’s crispy chicken salad is always more than enough for 2 people and I enjoyed it. I ordered the Smoke House Burger with fries and queso as my entree. I was nervous the sauce for the burger would be too sweet buttt I ended up asking for additional BBQ ranch and enjoyed it. I have loved the fries and queso since having them at Asado Wing & Taco @ VCU (IYKYK)! So it was no surprise that they were cooked to perfection as usual. We made a couple of friends at the bar in fellow patrons which was nice given how busy they were. There were couples, families, large groups, and solo diners so they’re great for everyone. Absolutely will continue dining/ordering here!
The food was very good. The service was so so. I'm not sure if that is normal or if it was just a one-off. The prices were reasonable. We both had burgers. The Cajun and the Smokehouse burgers were delicious. They were well done without being dry. This is important because the server didn't ask. The option of a bigger drink already on the menu for all drinks was a nice touch. We had a few wings. The sauce options are varied. That said, the one recommended by the server was not my favorite. Not their fault, just not a fan personally. My wife liked it, though. The appetizer was really good. Bacon and BBQ mushroom quasadilla topped with onion straws.
If you want a paper menu, you will probably need to ask for one. If you are into sports bars, this is a good place to go. If that's not your style, it has that sports bar vibe even though it wasn't busy.
Awesome place with amazing food. If you are going to watch a game, you can see tvs from every seat. They will change channels for you. Great sandwiches and apps.
Arrived for dinner and the host was very friendly. We were seated immediately. The waiter came over and took our drink orders and then we proceeded to use the qr code for the food menu. Food came out within 20 minutes or less. I ordered the honey old bay grilled chicken wings and also the plain grilled wings..along with fries and a pink sangria. Everything was delicious. Reasonably priced. Bathrooms were recently remodeled and clean. Will definitely return soon.
Always amazing, always delicious food. EVERYTHING on the menu is excellent!
This is our go-to restaurant, we seem to always degault to Wood & Iron when we can find any place new to try.
One of my favorites is the pepperoni pizza rolls (and the fried pickels). They are to die for. Great burgers and a great french dip & steak & cheese sandwich.
Service is always good, too.
They can get really busy at times, though so be aware. The food is always so good we don't want to wait, so we often sit at the bar. Faster than waiting for a table.
