Best WLM Reviews

It was our first time visiting. Cool and inviting atmosphere. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was so kind and attentive. She went through the menu for us, gave us some recommendations and answered any questions we had. We ordered the dragon roll, hibachi chicken and lo mein.
Although we didn’t specify, we were hoping we’d have the dragon roll come out quick as sort of an appetizer. It may have been because it was a busy Saturday night but we didn’t get our sushi roll until 15 minutes or so after our entrees. It almost seemed like the order was forgotten. However, our waitress was great at looking into it and at keeping us posted on when we might get it. We thought the sushi roll was just ok once we had it.
But the hibachi chicken and lo mein were fantastic! Great portions and really good food. The menu is expansive and offers many great choices. We hope to return soon to try some more of those recommendations we received. Overall, a very good experience!
If you're looking Japanese fine dining in South Bend, then WOOCHI is the place.
Excellent service and quality food and beautiful atmosphere.
I’ve left a five-star review for this place before, and I still stand by everything positive I said about the food and atmosphere. However, I feel the need to address an unpleasant experience with a server named Amy during a farewell lunch with about 15 people.
Unfortunately, Amy’s behavior was unprofessional and rude throughout the meal. At one point, she asked one of my colleagues to move out of her way while she was serving dishes, which was unnecessary and uncalled for. Later, I accidentally spilled some juice on my friend's chopsticks and politely asked Amy to take away the dirty chopsticks and other used plates. Her response was a dramatic eye roll and an impatient attitude. Despite us being polite and thanking her each time she brought something to the table, she continued to show a lack of courtesy.
The most upsetting moment came when my friend asked a simple question about the default 18% tip added to her takeout order. She was just curious as to why it was charged, considering she was only ordering for herself. Instead of a helpful answer, Amy responded in a very dismissive and rude manner, even going so far as to say “you are bullshit” to my friend. This type of behavior is unacceptable, especially when we were being polite and generous throughout our meal.
I’ve been a regular at Whoochi, visiting almost twice a week, and I’ve always had positive experiences until now. It’s disappointing to encounter such a negative attitude, especially from a server who should be providing excellent service. I want to make it clear that we paid a generous tip for our table service and were respectful at all times.
The manager handled the situation well and addressed our concerns in a professional manner, which I appreciated. However, I strongly recommend avoiding Amy as a server. Her attitude was rude, unprofessional, and unfortunately, felt discriminatory. This experience has left a sour impression, and I hope the restaurant takes steps to address this issue.
Best japanese restaurant in town . Service & environment is pleasant. They serve quick with great taste . Their Mongolian beef , wok fried rices, Triple delights are great . I have been here several times . You will get free street parking places near by . On weekend don’t come without prior reservation if you come with large groups.
Had reservations and were immediately greeted with an extremely bubbling host and friendly server team. Guest was immediately wished happy birthday on our arrival.
I enjoyed my husbands sizzling pepper steak more than my steak hibachi. Was just a personal preference.
Crab roll I ordered was just ok.
Gyoza was good.
The Singapore rice noodles had my daughters mouth on fire.????
Loved the soups.
Mixed drink was tasty.
Dessert surprise was a nice closing for a birthday.
Pricing overall very reasonable.
We enjoyed our visit and pleasant birthday dinner for the evening here.
Came in for an early birthday dinner with my sister. I got there early and everyone was very friendly. The waitress was attentive but not pushy or over bearing. We had sushi and pad thai. They even gave us a complimentary banana boat for my birthday. Not that I'm complaining but this is the only negative I could find. The banana boat was supposed to come with a scoop of ice cream, ours was missing it but I had a great time and it was complimentary so who am I to complain.
May God continue to Bless and Keep all Within His Will ????️
David, I truly thank you for hosting my surprise birthday party last Sunday ????️
Woochi is family ????️
Amy, I continue to be grateful for your kindness, friendliness, and care of my family.????️
David, my grandniece and grandnephew did like the chocolate cake. They were smiling away bite after delicious bite. I humbly appreciate your gracious gift????️
We, most of all, always feel welcomed, cared for, and apart of the family. We look forward to soon being again with all of you ????️
This place was absolutely gorgeous. My husband took me here for my pre birthday lunch and we had so much fun. Stepping into the restaurant and the first thing I loved was the ambience. Very relaxing. We had the volcano sushi as an appetizer and it did not disappoint. Boy! It was amazing. I had the fried rice that was served in the pineapple and that was amazing as well. My husband had the triple delight served with the egg soup. Both of them weren't as good as the other food but it was okay. Overall I had a very pleasant experience here. I'll be back
