Best WLM Reviews
My husband and I are still on our Midlo food adventure! We decided to grab dinner at Wong's Express. The restaurant was clean, and the service was prompt. Wong's has an extensive menu, so try to review it online. We dined in, but they were busy with online orders. The food came out quickly, and their portions were decent. My husband ordered fried scalloped for his appetizer and lobster fried rice and the scalloped dish for his entrees. I ordered the steamed dumplings and egg rolls for an appetizer and curry glass noodles as an entree. The only dish I didn't care for was the steamed dumplings. The dumpling was too thick for me, and I didn't like the flavor of the meat. We the curry noodles were delicious and flavorful, as well as the rice and scallop dish. We will be back!
First time coming in, based on the reviews it seemed like a good option. Definitely was wrong. We were helped by BluV, who was unbelievably rude and kept rushing our family. We even mentioned it was our first time to her two separate times and tried asking her for recommendations, she just spewed out a run on list of options pretty angrily. The other younger girl was just as rude. No friendly staff whatsoever. For sure won’t be coming back based on this experience alone. I’d rather spend hard earned money in a more positive atmosphere. Makes sense why the lobby was completely empty the entire time we were here, everyone just orders takeout. We CERTAINLY would’ve too had we known. The food really isn’t that good to be treating people so horribly, egg rolls were burnt, pork tasted old. If I could give this place a zero I would. Save your money.
This is my favorite place of 23 years being alive with quick, efficient service. No bs ???? DAMN GOOD FOOD!! There eggrolls are my all time favorite unlike other places that give you a tiny one with carrots. These MFs are fat and stuffed.
Was just okay. Had high hopes just seemed to be lacking flavor. General tso chicken almost more like orange chicken and no spice or flavor you would expect. Teriyaki chicken was fine. House rice had good mix of shrimp and other meats but felt it could've used a little ooomph too. Hot sour soup was okay but too many mushrooms. Maybe better next time hopefully.
FRIED RICE WITH A SIDE OF DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE...
Immediately upon entering the restaurant the cashier was rude. She did not greet us and stood at the register impatiently saying nothing at all. When our order was concluded she assumed that we did not want to eat in the restaurant by telling us that our order was to go. Once that minor misunderstanding was settled, the cashier went into the back and immediately began arguing with an unseen male, who we could only assume was the cook. Although there was a language barrier it became obvious that there was problem because the disagreement got louder and louder with both parties yelling over one another. Which was accompanied by the sound of various metal items being slammed around in the background. By this time we were ready to ask for a refund but our food started to arrive. The cashier brought the food one meal at a time and was rude each time despite us saying please and thanks. Everytime she went in back for a new dish, the argument would start up again. Eventually a small child and young girl came out into the dining area from the back looking somewhat embarrassed but unalarmed by the fighting. The small child turned on the TV to drown out the shouting but it was useless. The portions were small, and flavorless. I ordered shrimp fried rice which did not have any eggs and showed no evidence of being fried. Also the 8 small shrimp appeared to be cooked separately with no attempt of adding flavor and placed on top the bed of rice. I had to drown this order in soy sauce. We also had an order of Crab Rangoon which contained no absolutely no crab whatsoever. I do not recommend this place as it was a very awkward experience and not worth the impending danger.
Clean Restaurant, Friendly and Professional Staff, Food was fresh, but my dish was spicy and I asked before hand was the orange chicken spicy in any way and was informed No Ma’am sadly that was untrue and I was unable to enjoy my meal cause it was extremely spicy. I called and informed them and was not offered any type of resolution. Thanks! First & Last Visit.
I’ve never had chicken in chicken fried rice that was this white. Also we got chicken egg rolls full of cabbage, barely no chicken at all. Couldn’t eat none of the chicken cause we were worried it wasn’t even cooked all the way.
1st time in the establishment, the food was fantastic, not salty and really delicious! The staff was really patient because there were a lot of menu items.
