Great place for lunch ???? dinner ????️ or a snack! Very scenic drive to get there and the name tells you everything about the view! Rachel was so friendly and helpful ???? Also they’re not charging a surcharge to use your credit card ????
Pretty standard fare as far as the food goes. Not going to knock your socks off but won't disappoint.
Service has always been just fine, no real issues of note.
Parking is a bit slim but it is rarely packed to the brim.
I never mind a quick stop at the Wondervu Cafe
Last night was by far the best food that we have ever had at the Wondervu Cafe. The Chef (Oscar) and his wife were warm and welcoming and they paid close attention to every detail in the entrees that our large table ordered. We had nachos, a Mexican burger, Chips, and Salsa, and a seasonal Guacamole. I can't even explain how good the food is. The Guac was perfect with the goat cheese and pomegranate. I/we are as thankful to have leftovers. The chips were homemade, everything was fresh and perfect. I highly recommend going to the Cafe as I know we will be back.
Very nice and clever mountain vibe with great portions of well done food. Initially attentive server got distracted and also we wanted to sit outside on the patio but we’re denied although others subsequently were seated there. ???? I’d still go back as it was a nice spot to stop on our motorcycle ride through the canyon.
This place is great - absolutely fantastic food, service and atmosphere! It's adorable inside and out. We were greeted right away when we came in, and we were able to choose whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. I ordered shrimp tacos and my husband had beef tacos. Both of us LOVED what we ordered, and my husband is SUPER picky about food. We both agreed that we would make the drive from the southern end of Denver up here to eat on a regular basis. My meal came with the most delicious beans and rice I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. They must put magic in them! :) We also had chips, salsa and guacamole, which were also so yummy....the chips arrived at the table warm (YUM). We couldn't stop eating them. I took enough food home for another meal for both of us. Our server was very attentive and friendly - and the new owners are super nice. They really know how to marry the best food with the most charming atmosphere in any eatery we've been to in years. This restaurant is quite the find - do yourselves a favor and treat yourselves to stopping by here for a meal!

Back again for dinner-- the chips came out fast and hot! Same savory not spicy salsa I really enjoyed.
Lots of fresh veggies and avocado slices on the Chicken Chili dinner. Pico on it with corn tortillas very nice.
Went for second entree - steak fajitas! Crazy great salad and fluffy rice on the side with refried beans.
Desert is the awesome Mexican cream puff- try it with the caramel topping.
It is so sad to see this place struggle but with the exception of breakfast, every time I've been in they've messed up something with my order, have taken longer to prepare my order than they said and their staff will tell you you're wrong if you try to send something back or tell them they took your order wrong. They need someone with some real experience to help them turn this place around, I hope they make the investments they need to in order to improve, recover and grow their business. The included photo is their full nachos which did not come with pico as it says on the menu or the extra jalapenos that I ordered, when I asked about it I was told they did put pico and jalapenos on my order. Really!? I paid over $30 for this, a slice of apple pie and a soda.
A place we will never wonder about again. We paid $4 for salsa and chips. Blegh. MAYBE 3 tablespoons of extremely salty salsa and in a tiny bowl with huge tasteless chips.
Mexican hamburger, SUPER greasy.
Green chili bowl that was ok... just okay.
ONLY thing I could safely eat, as everything else had MSG.
Just not worth the $$$ cost.
