Best WLM Reviews

I have had an excellent experience with Dr. Michael Troy at the Women’s Health Institute. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything with empathy in a way that is easy to understand. The staff is kind, friendly, and always supportive and timely. I particularly appreciate that the office offers phlebotomy, sonogram, and mammograms on site, making it convenient to get all necessary tests done in one place. Highly recommend!
Haven’t seen these people in over a year and because they don’t do their jobs properly they are trying to charge me for an appointment that I had cancelled over a year ago because the doctor was changing clinics. Would not recommend this clinic. The women Rita at the front has terrible customer service over the phone. I will not be paying for a bill for a cancelled appointment when I no longer live in San Antonio and advised I would not be returning because the doctor I saw was no longer with them. Terrible service.
Couldn't get an appointment any sooner than 6 weeks. Fine, I guess that's just the standard of American health care these days. Dr. Carrol was great. Then I never got my test results so I had to call multiple times even though they swore they'd post it in the online portal. Since my visit six weeks ago I've been trying to get a replacement for my Nexplanon birth control. I send in the paperwork. No reply from them. Call them multiple times, finally get someone on the phone, they'll have their person call me back. Never call me back. Guess it's time to give up and find a different doctor.
The people who run this place… they must just hire anyone these days. Very lovely to get a bill for over $700 and be told that insurance didn’t cover it. When in fact insurance covered the full amount! But yet, there is no one that you can talk to and nobody who wants to help you. They called me two months ago to confirm my information, and I am JUST now getting a bill. But yet, didn’t even verify my insurance because my insurance covered everything. I know they must be out of their mind if they think that I am paying them a dime.
My appointment was at 3:45 pm and after waiting 1 hour i went up to the check out and was informed I still had 2 ahead of me. I asked to be terminated as a patient. I was there for my annual. It was only my 2nd appointment ever there. The check out person also informed that was pretty standard for Dr. Ramos.
Waited almost 3 months for my first time appointment, was given a 10am.
Got to my appointment 10 min earlier. Waited for 1.5 hours and finally gave up and left the place, I didn’t even get a glance of Dr Evangeline. I was asked to wait in several areas: first the reception, then some chairs inside of the offices, later they placed me in a room, told me doctor would see me there. Room was freezing, and I just decided to leave. Staff was not rude but they don’t even apologize for the delay, no explanations, they don’t tell you how much longer it will take.
Terrible experience, extremely disrespectful to make people wait for that long. Waisted an entire morning, apparently only their time is valuable.
When I was leaving the office lady told me “if you leave you will have to wait another 3 months to the next app” yeah, like I’d ever want to go back!
Woman who schedules appts literally hung up on me, like mid sentence hung up on me. Even if I could get an appointment here, I wouldn't schedule it. If that's how your front desk acts, you've got some training to do.
I have been seeing Dr Carroll for almost 17 years and she is one of the best physicians I have ever been to. Unfortunately, the staff at this office has ruined this for me and I’m forced to move on. I made an appointment for my 16 year old daughter who has been having some issues for a few months, back in July 2023 for October 24th. I provided all of her information two different times. Today, I signed her out of school & took off work to take her and 1 hour before the appointment we get a call that Dr Carroll doesn’t see patients under 17 years old. What??!! Okay, so I understand this is her policy but why wasn’t this caught 4 months ago? Or last Friday when they called to confirm? She then tells me another doctor could see her so I say yes. But that doctor can’t see her until December 19th!! Sadly, I’m done with this practice. I’m very understanding that things happen but they made no attempt to make it right. I wish Dr Carroll would get a new office staff because this one is terrible and unprofessional. They were also pretty rude when I scheduled the appt but I was willing to overlook that part. I’ve never been treated this poorly by an office staff and I know it’s not the physician’s fault. Here is an opportunity to listen to what patients are telling you and do something about it
