This clinic used to be a great. Today I drove 45 minutes to my appointment to be told the doctor had left and I wouldn’t be seen. My options were to wait around and see if maybe another doctor could see me or reschedule. At no point today did I receive a call, which could’ve easily resolved this. I took time off work and drove 45 minutes and this was absolutely a breakdown in caring for patients.
**Edit since I can’t reply to your reply. I don’t see how you’re addressing the concern but whatever. When I walked in the receptionist at the counter said something like “Oh we should’ve called you.”
Which led me to believe there was AMPLE time to call and let me know. I took time off work and drove 45 minutes out there. No, I couldn’t wait there for an unknown amount of time because I had to get back to work. And no I’m not rescheduling to take MORE time off when it’s limited to begin with. I’d rather just find a doctor closer to me ????♀️. I only stayed because my doctor there was great.
Overall, here are two things your business can do to ensure your not wasting patients’ time off and drive time:
1) Send a note or general notice to patients that the doctor may be on call the day of their appointment and may cause unexpected cancellations. Explain the impacts of that and what options are (i.e. wait around or reschedule)
2) Ensure that as soon as possible that y’all know the doctor is gone just GIVE SOMEONE A CALL! Hell, y’all sent me a text message every day leading up to my appointment (5 texts in total), the least you could do is send a text that my appointment was canceled.
Y’all need to do better ????♀️
My issue is not with my actual doctor but with the fact that the office doesn't answer their phones after repeated tries. I have been a satisfied patient of this practice for almost 40 years but their customer service has hit an all-time low. Is it too much to answer a phone? My pharmacy has also tried to contact them, to no avail. You can do better WSP!!
I was very happy with my appointment here. I can honestly say everyone was very nice, from the front desk to the checkout process. However be ready to wait, they are a very busy office but it's worth the wait. I came into this office as a new patient hoping to get answers and have a treatment plan to treat my PCOS. The Nurse Practitioner Cat, was very nice, very informative, she took her time, I did not feel rushed at all. I loved the fact that she did not push birth control on me, she never mentioned birth control and that made me very happy, as I was prepared to decline that option before making my appointment. I left here feeling heard and with a treatment plan, based on my case. I have dealt with PCOS my whole life and no one really took the time to break it down for me and how I can reverse my symptoms until I came here! I can't wait to come back for my follow up to see how much I have improved.
I waited much longer than I should have to get my first well-woman exam out of fear. I was in tears dreading coming in for the appointment, but knew I had to just push through it. Dr. Mooken was so patient, gentle, kind, and informative that I hardly had any trouble getting through the exam! I left my appointment feeling heard, respected, and relieved that this exam that I had built up to be so miserable and awful for so long was actually so simple and painless. Dr. Mooken is a fantastic person!
Additionally, the front desk staff were all very kind and efficient. The waiting room has a very calming atmosphere. And the nurse that drew my blood (I cant recall her name) was very proficient and I had no bruising the following day! Everyone seems to really care for the patients here.
The nurses and staff were kinda and helpful! Dr. Rasmussen is new to the clinic and she was very kind and gentle, and informed me of all my options and wasn't pushy about anything at all. I came in as a new uninsured patient, was able to make an appointment within a week and the annual exam was $125.
Clinic is in building B, once you walk in take the elevator immediately to the right, go to the 2nd floor, and the clinic is the first door immediately to the right once you get off the elevator.
Worst Experience Ever, the front desk staff is pathetic
Extreme disappointment with the treatment I received during my recent visit to your facility.
In previous visits, despite having a scheduled appointment, I have had to wait for over an hour. When I inquired about the delay more than once, the front desk staff responded with dismissive and unprofessional attitudes, making me feel as though I was being unreasonable for simply asking about my appointment status. I let it go thinking someone is not having a good day, it happens sometime.
Additionally, I have a comprehensive insurance plan and have met my co-pay deductibles. Despite this, I was incorrectly charged for two visits. When I sought clarification, I was told that the issue could only be addressed at the time of checkout. I requested to settle my account today. The checkout staff member was extremely rude, informing me that I owed over $250 and implying that I had never made any payments, despite my insurance being billed $580 for each visit. When I politely asked for an explanation of the charges, not that I didn't want to pay, but don't I deserve the explanation of the money you are asking me to pay. The staff member abruptly walked away, refusing to provide any assistance and making the situation so uncomfortable, raising the voice, making faces, etc, also stated, This is not my job, just give the damn money, The finance person is on leave. Contact her when she is back, but pay today. "This statement was so rude, that every time you come you dont pay " as if my insurance is not paying and they are doing the charity. What a shame to experience such nuance when you need the most care and respect.
This behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional. It is disheartening to be treated in such a manner, especially during a time as significant in our pregnancy. While my doctor has been satisfactory, the overall experience with your facility has been so negative that I am relieved to be relocating.
I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and address these issues to improve the service for future patients. It is crucial that all patients are treated with respect and professionalism.
Just called for an appointment. The young lady that answered the phone was rude and short. I would be a new patient. This was a big turn off. Dr Chikara Foster-retting is leaving the end of the month. Instead of her leading with that she was trying to schedule. Now if I am a new patient why would I want to see a Dr that is leaving. Worse customer service ever.
I am so pained by my experience here. I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks. The tech there told me very plainly during my ultrasound and then gave a few minutes to get dressed. When I walked out, I was crying and she told me to “have a good weekend” and sent me into a full waiting room while I was crying. The nurse who picked me up asked if I was having irregular bleeding - she was not aware why I was there or what had been said to be in OB. The Nurse Practitioner was extremely kind and gentle with her news but didn’t realize I’d already been told the way I had. Then, I had to push the office to fill my medication to pass the pregnancy. The notes left on the medication bottle were very confusing and conflicted with the pharmacist notes, whether to take the meds orally or vaginally. I had to call this office again to confirm. Then, I was never told I would need a follow up ultrasound after the meds took effect. I am now in the ER with excessive bleeding and the on-call OB was surprised to hear I was never reached out to for a follow-up ultrasound. I may just be one bad case, but this has devastated me and only made my miscarriage more emotionally and physically painful. I’m so disappointed.
