Having a singular phone number between many many Doctors and no way to get a human on the phone is really painful in the event something is wrong...waited a week for chromosomal abnormality results to find out paperwork was filled out very wrong with very specific key patient details .....Incorrect information listed on a request for lab analysis should be something we can easily change the same day ?! And still get reported? right?
Reporting timeliness and documentation accuracy is most certainly an expectation, especially for the price point.
Everyone we have dealt with has been great as a humans and face to face, sadly if there is anything needed outside of the month wait time you are better off counting clouds.
My wife was scheduled for a appointment here on 8/27/2024 for her well being and a checkup on our ongoing pregnancy.
we got 2 hours of notice that our doctor was now unavailable and the earliest we could get in is in 2 more weeks, after waiting like 2 months for a appointment.
If I can't trust you to be there for my family and take our appointments seriously now then I can't trust trust you with the welfare of my wife and unborn child in the future.
I would recommend not even bothering with this place. pregnancy and women's health is not just something you can flake on.
I have been a patient at this doctor’s office for about 10 months now. I have had numerous instances where I have tried to reach out to the office with questions, concerns, or follow up appointments and had to leave voicemails because no one is available. I have never once received a called back regarding a message I have left.
I recently started the process to get a Nexplanon birth control procedure done, which has been a complete nightmare!! Last week, I received a voicemail from the office stating that I needed to contact an outside pharmacy to confirm the delivery of the Nexplanon birth control. I immediately contacted the outside pharmacy company and was told they were going to contact the doctors office to finalize the delivery of the birth control. I quickly received a call from the company stating that they were unable to get in contact with someone from the office and had to leave a voicemail. I then tried myself to call the office and also received no answer. The pharmacy company told me they could not send my birth control out until they received a call back from my doctors. Fast forward to today, the day of my appointment, I called to check and see if I was able to be seen for my procedure only to be told that they were still waiting on ME to contact the pharmacy company to confirm the delivery. When I told them that I had already done this and that the company even reached out to them a week prior, I was told they would “make a note of what I told them” and that I would be contacted to reschedule my appointment.
I feel this office is completely unprofessional when dealing with patients and they have constantly made me feel worthless, overwhelmed, and unheard. After this procedure I will no longer be using Women’s specialist of clear lake as my OB/GYN.
My OB/GYN Dr. Pilla recently moved her and she is the absolute best! I have been with her through both of my high-risk pregnancies and she’s taken such good care of me and my babies. She recently delivered my second baby and it was an amazing experience. I DEFINITELY recommend going to her if you have the chance.
I have had a miscarriage of no heart rate on my 1st appointment with ob/gyn Dr.Beth Files and i have been done $1600 bill of all the unnecessary tests that one could name under the sun later which i was not briefed. They just took blood samples which i thought is for monitoring hcg but there were reports generated for so many. I dont see a point in doing test when it is not a successful pregnancy and that too without informing the patients what they are doing. They are so much money minded. I do not recommend going there.
Alright - I have to give my experience here for the last nine months a two star rating. Plus sides to going here (for me personally) are they accept my husband's insurance, the office itself is clean and kept up, the office is close to my home, and the only time I've had to have an emergency check up, I've was seen pretty quickly (about a week/two wait after getting food poisoning). However, the cons are honestly outweighing the benefits. Dr stafflinger is extremely hard to work with. Her bedside manners are excruciatingly painful, it feels like she hears what I'm saying but doesn't actually listen to me or especially to my husband's concerns, and if you're overweight you can forget about her approaching the situation lightly - she will straight up tell you you're overweight and need to change it. The office never and I mean NEVER answers the phone. The only way I can get a hold of them is buy calling billing and being transferred, and even then 9 times out of 10 no one answers or calls back. The only call back I received was about a week after I had called asking about a medication I wanted to take for dizziness (the poison control hotline was far faster than the office, and the nurse didn't even know how to spell the medication I was asking about). The office is usually crowded, and waiting areas are small, and the ladies that work the lab are usually rude, there's only been one time that the tech back there was actually pleasant to speak too. I would not waste your time here, unfortunately I have no choice since I'm so far along but I know for the future who I am not going to use.
Very clean space, it is very hard to find as the name is not on the building. I went into the building and went to the first office, I was told to check the directory so I had to assist myself. Thankfully the directory is very helpful. The doctors office process was very elaborate, as paperwork is still a thing physically, it was pretty annoying to be ask the same questions when I got called back almost 40mins after my appointment time. Yes, I understand being a new patient, but I was there for a while as it was only a consult appointment. Being told the copay could have been helpful before the appointment as well (which I'm used to). I think having to fill out ppwk before the appointment is common, but you would think electronic information could have been stored in my patient portal when I created one. Overall, it was helpful. Just the check in process could have been a lot smoother and quicker.
Been coming here for probably 10 years. Started bringing my daughters here about 3 years ago. My oldest daughter got sick last May and was hospitalized. They found something on a CT and told us her gyn would need to look at it. Had it sent over and called to confirm. Was told it was received. I called back and asked if the dr had a chance to look. The lady said the dr didn’t need to see it. I told her I wanted to dr to see it to be sure. She argued with me and was very unprofessional about it. Long story long she never showed the dr. Went in today and spoke to the dr about it and she said she never heard about it or saw the scan. She said it wasn’t in the computer either. I said the lady said they received it but she said they say that all the time when they don’t have things. I couldn’t believe it. After the appt I let the dr know we wouldn’t return. No one seemed bothered or concerned by this whole thing.
