Love Maria NP!
However, her assistant was extremely rude and argumentative. She did not get any vitals or have me fill out a card for results.
Mammogram tech very nice and professional. Very tiny waiting room with extremely irritating music on radio station with static. Invest in Bluetooth quality speakers and music!!
Four years ago, my spouse and I decided for our first child, to use a certified midwife. BEFORE we started prenatal care with women’s healthcare associates. We were deciding between the two and paid for an initial appointment but told the office that we had decided not to go with their care. Now, again, four years later, we have been permanently banned for deciding to receive care somewhere else. No further explanation was given. This is the most discriminatory policy I’ve ever heard of and I do not recommend this place. The staff was vague and rude, resting on this absurd policy.
I had 4 positive pregnancy tests about a month and a half ago. I explained to the lady that makes the appointments that I’ve had 11 miscarriages and would like to be seen and or at least confirm pregnancy soon than later. I was finally seen a couple of days ago it went horribly. To get started they didn’t want to send anything to my insurance and wanted me to pay $631 out of pocket claiming that that’s what is never covered and it’s always out of pocket I told them money is tight right now and asked if I could do payments they said no if I could get it paid by my next appointment I’d be asked to leave and I’d have to find a new obgyn office to get seen by. They made me go see my nurse first they took my urine gave me info like don’t eat soft cheese don’t mess with cat litter etc. they then said congratulations on the pregnancy. They then sent me off to get a sonogram and the lady did a vaginal ultrasound on me. She started asking me if I had any pain bleeding or spotting I said no. She hurried and moved the screen away from my husband and I and I knew it was bad news. She then explained that she can’t find the baby but wanted to be sure I wasn’t having an ectopic pregnancy and wanted to get a closer look at my ovaries and tubes. She then had me get dressed and said she’d get ahold of my dr to see what the next steps were. I ended up being sent to get blood work done. I was told my Dr would go over the sonogram pictures and my blood work and call me with what’s going on. I had to find out that I lost the baby sometime from finding out over an email. My dr hasn’t gotten ahold of me. I haven’t had any spotting or bleeding or cramping. I’ve been very concerned because nothing about this is normal. And my dr doesn’t even have the courtesy of calli bc em or getting me back in to figure out that is going on and why I am still not having any kind of bleeding and what the heck happened to my baby. Least to say don’t walk RUN away from here as fast as you can.
The old lady at the front basically called me a liar. Me and my lady were standing the the elevator past 8 am and it was not working. My 6 months pregnant girlfriend had to walk up 3 flights of stairs.when I knocked on the stairs door the lady gave me an ugly look and told me the elevators turned on at 8. It was 804 when she was telling me that with us already made it to the 3rd floor from the stairs. More than disappointed and disgusted by the way she spoke to me.
1)There is a girl who is at the check out desk on the right and a couple of times with the front check in desk who is ABOVE RUDE! I don't care if maybe it's just her face but, this girl is the most rude person! Never says hi, just stares at you with a mad face and does not help, and will carry on a conversation with someone working with her before getting to you. You feel so uncomfortable with her and also in the hopes of one of the other 2 ladies to help you. I know I went to the 1st lady on the left and she is so sweet-the lady with glasses!
2) The girl who talked to us about pregnancy appts, and insurance in a small room was not very helpful either, kind of rude, and made you feel like you didn't know anything about how insurance works. I left wondering how she would have felt if she has ever gotten or down the road get the same treatment she gave-how she would feel (probably upset and so belittled!)
3) Me and my girls have been going there for I say more than 10 yrs, so I figured there is some trust there that you know if we get billed, it WILL get paid, but NOPE! We go to a 1st pregnancy appt and then they want you to go back for your monthly appt and on that 2nd appt they want you to PAY IN FULL!! They act like everyone can do more than a thousand dollar payment or more all at once! NO HELP!! Very inconsiderate and insane!!
4) I feel this place needs a wake up call from the mangers or someone above them because this place was not like this before! They need to give them some training on customer service and how to be professional in an office setting!
I would not recommend this place I went it for concerns about the depo the gyno acted like It was a bother . I asked if she could check my hormones and again it was like a bother she stated that I came to her for my appointment what hormones I wanted checked I have over 153 different hormones in my body but I’m thinking she is the one with a degree and should be more professional plus I could her discussing my medical concerns like it was a problem to someone before she came into the room ..If you don’t like your job change your profession.
I must express my profound disappointment with my recent experience at Women’s Healthcare Associates. Having called a business day prior to my gynecologist visit to inquire about the anticipated charges, I received the response, 'I don’t know', which I found highly unprofessional. Consequently, upon receiving a bill exceeding $200, I paid it in full. However, I am unequivocally deterred from returning due to what I perceive as a lack of transparency and professionalism within the staff. It is disheartening to feel as though one's concerns are not adequately addressed and that the primary focus appears to be financial gain rather than quality patient care.
Heartbroken and shocked. I saw Appel once in 2020 to consider using her as a provider for my pregnancy at the time... I told her I was also considering using a midwife. She told me if I went with a midwife I would have to be terminated from her care, and explained for legal reasons she wanted records to show I only had one provider... I asked if I could use her for future pregnancies and she said yes. Flash forward 3 years later. I was wanting to see Dr. Tucker as my provider and after 2 weeks of waiting for "paperwork to be approved" and back and forth answers from the receptionist, I just got told they will not be removing my terminated status... All for going with a midwife one time instead of them. I am so mind blown!
