Best WLM Reviews
My PCP referred me to this office and I scheduled an appointment with one of the doctors. Due to my work, I had to reschedule 3 times and did so at least 24 hours in advance. The third time I rescheduled, I was informed they could not see me because it was my third time to reschedule. Out of my control as to why I needed to reschedule and I gave them notice in the time we are told to do so. ????♀️
0 out of 10, do not recommend.
I’m not the type to leave reviews of healthcare providers, but the lack of professionalism I experienced has encouraged me to share my experience. The PA I saw and OB/GYN she consulted with regarding my care were dismissive of my concerns as a patient (and as a healthcare professional myself). I requested a specific medication for IUD placement that I have received previously and that my last GYN NP (who is unfortunately not covered under my new insurance) agreed we could do again. Sarah, the PA at WHA Richardson, told me there was no medication they could give me. I didn’t appreciate, as someone with a terminal degree in nursing who knows the options, being lied to about my care. It makes me concerned for others who may not have the knowledge to advocate for themselves—hence my review.
I was initially hopeful about my visit with Dr Downey based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The doctor seemed insensitive and dismissive of my concerns. He acted as though he was a man who did not want to hear any woman’s issues. Worst Gyno appointment ever!!! Don’t go to this guy! I’m dumbfounded he is still practicing.
Instead of a personal phone call to discuss my test results, I received a text, which I found to be unprofessional and disrespectful. It felt like my concerns were not taken seriously. I would not recommend this doctor to others. I have many questions that are left unanswered. If you want to feel like a number; definitely give him your business. If you want to feel like a valued human; do not go here.

I was formerly living in Sherman TX and I was 5 months pregnant when I decided to move back to Dallas. Dr Drake was the only doctor whom took me under her wing this far along, and let me tell you I’m so grateful she did! My first pregnancy experience was awful, therefore I was terrified! Dr Drake is such a sweetheart and attended to all my needs. Answered all my questions. When I gave birth I faced last minute complication as my babies cord was wrapped around his neck. Dr Drake was very patient and quick! Epidural did the job and I gave birth to a healthy boy! She also did my Salpingectomy and I healed rather quickly. She definitely made my last experience rather beautiful and I’m very thankful for someone like her!❤️
I thought it beneficial to write a review considering this place deals with the health and well-being of others.
I unfortunately had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a doctor and it was supposed to be something far more uplifting, encouraging and positive.
I just had my first baby this past year and I chose this woman’s health location in Richardson. Because at the time it was close and I heard somewhat alright reviews. It was my fault because the positive and good reviews had nothing to do with this doctor’s office but rather the Hosptial.
Since the start of going to this OBGYN when I first figured out I was pregnant- EVERY. SINGLE. appointment they would schedule me at say 4:00pm? I would not be seen until 4:45pm-5:00pm. Then their excuses would be oh sorry we had other patients, etc. so maybe don’t schedule someone a whole hour behind especially when they knew we moved farther away and still chose to stay with them. This happened until our Baby was born. So imagine a 8 month pregnant woman driving by herself 45 minutes away just to sit a whole hour to be seen and then the appointment lasts 15 minutes and the Doctors response “everything is good, any questions? No? Ok we will see you next time.”
When it comes to the staff I can maybe pick 2 woman that at least tried to be kind the rest talked to you like you were stupid or acted liked they worked at the DMV and hated their lives- so they decided to treat you as such. They also mischeduled my appointments a minimum of 3 times throughout this whole process. As well as if something was wrong and I would call it would take a whole week to call back if they even did call back. So God forbid something deeply wrong didn’t happen.
Then after I told the Doctor I was miserable in pain due to the intense-ness of this past summer Heat and my PCOS was making me itch to the point of bleeding. They said they would get me induced(this was the weekend before the Monday I was due) never called me back to tell me when. Because they ended up forgetting, so the Monday I was due I go to my appointment and they had the audacity to say I wasn’t scheduled that day. I made sure that changed real quick considering the pain and stress on my body that was happening. They could get me in Tuesday @8:00pm they said, they didn’t get me in until Wednesday at 4pm.
My birth experience was one of the most frightening things to date. My daughter ended up D-celling to the point that it was so bad that we had an emergency-c section but not the normal ones. I had no epidural and my husband wasn’t even allowed to come into the room.
Also- we learned this week that they in fact OVER-CHARGED us by $2000 but never let us know. We just randomly received a check 7 months saying refund.
THANK THE LORD FOR DR. LEVY AND THE Hospital STAFF AT METHODIST RICHARDSON. they were beautiful. They were gracious, apologetic, kind, helpful, calming and the only good part of my whole 1st pregnancy. They saved me, my baby and so much more.
So end all be all,
I do not reccomend Womens Health of Richardson OBGYN if you want a positive, helpful, genuine pregnancy experience. You will just be another check on their checklist.
But the staff at Methodist Richardson specifically hospitalist Dr. Levy who ended up doing my delivery, the lactation nurses especially Melissa, and all the nurses there saved this woman from having one of the worst experiences of her life. My Husband and I are grateful and thankful for them.
I highly recommend Dr. Drake! This was my second pregnancy & she has been SO amazing! She’s super down to earth and straightforward while still having great bedside manner! I was seen by a different OB my first pregnancy and had a super traumatic and horrible experience so I was definitely cautious about a new dr- My experience here has been like night & day!
I’ve read a lot of comments about the front desk so I’ll touch on that.. I’ve honestly never had an issue, one of them (not sure of her name)could be a little more warm and friendly but that’s just not everyone personality, with that being said no one has ever been rude or left a bad impression in the 9months I have been coming here.
The doctor was a sweetheart. Rescheduling is easy, but the staff that answers the phone is super rude.. It’s literally part of their job to answer the phone. Why do it with such an attitude. Literally every time I call it’s someone hanging up in my face.
I use to recommend this doctor office to everyone I knew, they use to be great but have gone downhill. I have had 3 pregnancies here and the first 2 were great but waited about 7 years in-between my middle and last and boy things had changed. Do not expect to get a hold of anyone in the office so if you have real questions get it all out at your appointment. I had a new doctor assigned to me during my pregnancy and she never refilled any of my medications. I was super sick through my whole pregnancy and my previous doctor had me on nausea medication and I could never get it after the new doctor. I ended up with cholestasis and was itching so bad and she kept telling me she would call medicine in and never did. I finally had my baby and never received my medicine for afterwards either even though my placenta had gotten stuck and was in extreme pain from them literally ripping that out.
