Best WLM Reviews

This office has been a terrible experience from the first appointment. I don’t know if it is the business practice put in place or just the staff and their ineptitude. Issues from poor or lazy scheduling poor attitude acting an staff that speak so quietly they can’t be bothered to repeat themselves (Edinburg office)) or just in general don’t want to be bothered by work. scheduled an appointment for an anatomy scan to show up and find out it was changed and now just seeing the doctor but still needing now another appointment for the scan needing to take another day off from work for both her and I. Showing up to an appointment for results to see if baby is doing okay after some issues. Spouse (myself ) being denied to accompany my wife for support in the event of negative outcome. Being hounded for payment on their payment plan, this is not our first child but it is our first with this office and certainly had the same insurance as before and we were never hounded and called in the evening to make a payment while we still had months before she was due from the previous obgyn office.
lastly as I sit outside they had rescheduled my wife appointment due to not having insurance. After my wife verified herself with her work the first time being told she didn’t now they tried to cancel us again because they are incompetent and can’t call to verify their patients insurance on their own. So she calls the insurance to verify it is and has always been active despite this offices best efforts to just reschedule.
My wife is to nice to write this but I hope she at least rates you. To everyone else avoid this place. Oh also $25 to get a doctors signature and it takes two week for some reason.
If the owner or who monitors these reviews feel free to do me a favor and not respond
Had my baby boy with Dr.Otero 7/14/23. Dr.Otero was kind and calm through the whole process. I did get preeclampsia in the end and Dr.Otero explained what was going to happen to keep me and baby safe. We had to go for an emergency induction. Fair warning the doctors at this clinic are very very busy. Please remember they’re human also so they get tired. Imagine talking to people everyday trying to get all the information out of them. Moms make notes like I did and read all your concerns, if you don’t communicate don’t expect the doctors to KNOW. When I gave birth I asked Dr.Otero how many babies he had delivered today and he responded 7!. It was also 11:30pm. The man is a saint! Yes, he went next door while I was pushing to take a nap. I wouldn’t blame him. Imagine going to your appointments and also going to deliveries. He maybe a serious doctor but he does care. Dr.Otero, Thank You for all that you do. God bless you.
This is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to service and experience. They make everything difficult when trying to get forms or submit forms. They are lazy and look for any reason to not move. I suggest to new or expecting mothers find a place that cares about your pregnancy and new baby. I’ve been through 4 pregnancies have never experienced or witnessed what I see here. I can’t wait to move and get a new doctor
Extremely scared since I was told I was more likely gonna need a C-section but yet I had called to call to reschedule for an appointment since insurance wasn't active by when I had it never met the doctor due in 5 weeks front desk couldn't answer no questions and yet told me she made me an appointment for the 24th called to make sure what time my appointment was gonna take place to finally met the doctor supposably Im.not scheduled for no appointment when I clearly made an appointment and she told me ask all the questions to the doctor when you see him couldn't even give me the date I'm due called the Edinburgh office that same day and they told me an exact date but apparently she never actually made my appointment now I'm left wondering what to due when do know I'm going into labor if a C-section is still needed not to mention had to deal with them hanging up the phone and even though they did twice I stayed patient and I was nice but still wasn't able to get a solution
If you want your husband to be part of the experience don’t come here. They are not allowed back with the mom. Even after my wife had a c section and needed help to walk would they let me back there to hear about her health and recovery. Not happy from a husbands point of view
The only good thing is that they can accept you as a walking, yet the service in all aspects is not good at all. The receptionist can be rude, not all of them though. Management needs to train them to be more professional and respectful. Now the doctors are kind and compassionate, but they also need to learn to be accurate. I lost my baby , but before that they just told me….“ I think this is not going to work” and not advise or recommendations given to you of want to do or expect. After my miscarriage I call the clinic asking if I need to go sooner or not go anymore and they told me that it was recommended to go just to see that everything when back to normal. Yet the day after the appointment I got there as a walking in because the day before I couldn’t attend in time, and they had told that I could go as as walk in that same they or the day after… but as soon I was there they say that they couldn’t take me in, and that an appointment wasn’t necessary anyway more. When before they had told that I was recommended to see, as I mentioned before.
They are just not communicating with each other properly and the patients are not being well treated or informed.
So definitely I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Not Saul, but his wife. I wanted a male doctor for several reasons. Turns out Dr. Otero was not what I expected. Showed little to no interest in my pregnancy. I needed a c-section and I was extremely nervous about that. Not once before or after my surgery did he acknowledge me. After being hospitalized for 3 days, I still never got a visit from him. The NP at the clinic was judgmental and I refuse to see her again. As for the office staff…awful! Very rude and even give you bad looks. I regret not changing to another doctor when I had the chance. I highly recommend you do NOT come here!
Like someone already mentioned Dr otters shows no interest in you and doesn’t care about your feelings. He just goes in and says ok baby is okay and that’s it doesn’t really say much no interest in how you feel. I tried changing drs but I was 7 months now and other drs had appointments but till 2 or 3 months later.
I told the front desk girls I wanted tubal ligation and the ladies just said yes dr ottero does that but never did they mention that I had to let the dr know months in advance so I told the np when I was 8 months and she just wrote it down.
When I was giving birth I told dr ottero I wanted to get my tubes tied and he turned and looked at me with a face and said NO YOU CANT GET IT ITS ILLEGAL INTEXAS that I had to have mentioned it to him months b4 giving birth. So here I am back to work but on hormones since I have no rights over my body.
