Best WLM Reviews
Dr. Fluery is the worst. She is dismissive, rude, had horrible best side manner when it came time to my surgery. Wouldn't listen to me(the patient) just got super defensive and wanted to cancel my surgery. If i could have picked a different doctor to do my surgery, i would have. Supposed to make the patient feel comfortable not feel like they are being attacked. Dr Fluery made me feel uncomfortable but according to her she "wasnt " comfortable doing my surgey because i expressed something to her as it was my first surgery. Other then that other staff was caring, thoughtful and wonderful.
Dr. Alexandra Spirtos is a very good doctor, I have no complaints about her as an OBGYN/Caner specialist.
However, the office staff are the rudest people I have ever encountered. They are argumentative, and rude when you ask questions. They do not respond or return phone calls even after you leave numerous messages. And NOTHING is ever there fault it is always someone else who is wrong.
So if you can get past them, the doctor is worth going to. It's sad because their actions reflect on who the doctor is, or who they are at that clinic. Good Luck.
I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in June 2024. I needed surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. I was referred to WCC and Dr. Alexandra Spirtos. She is fabulous! I feel very comfortable with her, I can talk to her and she listens. I just finished my last chemotherapy treatment. Marilyn is in charge of the chemo department. She and her staff are amazing. The front desk staff is not the best. They keep wanting to overcharge me. But I put up with it because I really like Dr. Spirtos. Highly recommend WCC because of the doctors.
I’ve been a patient here for two years, and if I had another option I would leave. My doctor is great, but the front desk staff are the absolute WORST I’ve ever encountered. Blatantly, overtly hostile.
Today, I received FIVE phone calls in less than an hour and one voicemail to reschedule an appointment SIX MONTHS from now. Because I did not return their calls within that hour, they called my emergency contact, saying they can’t get ahold of me!
When I called back, I was told “well how was I supposed to know you were working” when I explained that being called 5 times in 55 minutes is HARASSMENT. The nerve.
If you have another option for care, RUN.
Dr. Gould is amazing! She did my radical hysterectomy with no problem and was very nice and comforting throughout all of it. The front desk is really busy all the time as they do alot at this office including chemo and have multiple Dr.'s so please be patient with the staff and front desk as they are taking their time to make sure everything is right and everyone is seen accordingly. The only negative I have is if you need FMLA forms filled out, they charge you for it and it's alot for someone already dealing with financial struggles due to health issues of cancer. ❤️
This place exists to collect bad reviews. So here’s another one!
I was referred by my OBGYN to a surgeon Kristina Kushnir at Women’s Cancer Center. I called the center and made an appointment. On the day of the appointment (had to use a vacation day), was checked in, waited an hour in the lobby, taken to the room, was asked to undress and wait for the doctor.
The doctor showed up and asked me to leave as Kristina Kushnir didn’t work there any more!
Their staff didn’t tell me that! They scheduled me!!! At check in I circled the name of Kristina Kushnir on their form as the specialist I was going to see. They didn’t say anything!!!!
Truly awful experience when you are undressed and being asked to leave in a pretty rude manner. Wasn’t even my fault!!! I was referred to the wrong office and the wrong office accepted me!!!!
Guess what … they sent me a $20 bill for the consultation…
How do they even have the nerve?!
I have not rated this place until now because after my last appointment I told myself that I would NEVER EVER come back and had just forgotten until today when I received from my insurance company that they are no longer sending patients here! As all the other poor reviews this is the worse and last place any woman should go due to lack of empathy, disrespectful, blatantly rude, being ignored and lied to by the front office staff! First impressions are the most important and the office staff is incompetent, they charge astronomical fees for disability/FMLA paperwork and screw it all up and expect to pay again! Who are they and why do they hire these horrible people to do these types of jobs?
Sadly, I have echo the sentiments expressed in many of the reviews here. Despite my surgeon, Dr. Gould, being absolutely exceptional (and the nurses/students I’ve encountered who work with her), the office staff's treatment of women at this CANCER center is disheartening. The profound lack of empathy is troubling. This is a place meant to support women battling cancer, yet the first staff you encounter show a shocking lack of compassion.
Women seeking care here should be met with understanding and kindness, not additional fear and distress. I am relieved that today marks my final follow-up, as I have witnessed and endured enough of the staff’s inappropriate behavior, including laughing at and belittling patients. Women deserve to feel safe and respected in such a vulnerable setting, not subjected to further anxiety.
5 stars for the surgeon herself. This is purely based on the front office staff especially the one who has already been called out by name in other reviews. Please do better.
