Best WLM Reviews
Trying to get an appointment at this practice is outrageous. You call to schedule your annual and they say “we can’t schedule you because the book isn’t open. Call back another day”. How about you put me on a waitlist and call me when the books are open so I’m not constantly calling. The best part about this, is that the appointments fill up quickly so when you actually call to try and schedule they have no more appointments available. This place doesn’t care if you have health concerns, they’ll make you wait months. Receptionist are NOT friendly (on the phone or in person) and they have you see every practitioner so you never see the same person. Would not recommend this place.
I went here for prenatal care and regret it. The only providers I found to be compassionate and knowledgeable were Brittany the PA, the ultrasound techs, and Dr. Florescue and Harris. The other providers I saw, which was almost all of them, were dismissive and brushed off all my concerns and questions, and some I found to be rude in their responses to any question I asked.
They have you see every provider so you’re comfortable with whoever is on call when you deliver, but they fail to mention that they spilt Highland with another practice, so you might not even get a WGCA OB. Which if I had known that, I would have just seen the same OB for every appointment, as every provider I saw except Dr. Florescue/Harris was apparently too busy to read my chart and know my history before seeing me. This led to me having to ask for certain lab testing, to ask followup questions, etc.-all things that the doctor I’m seeing should know to do, not solely the patient.
My biggest issue is that I had health concerns that were not addressed properly. My concerns were brushed off, and I ended up having a traumatic delivery after having to be induced for medical reasons. Would never recommend this OB for prenatal care.
My visit today was traumatizing and I left the building in tears. I have never left a medical clinic feeling so neglected. I came in for an IUD replacement which I discussed at a consultation weeks ago with Brooke. Not only did they have the wrong IUD listed (I wanted Lyletta, not Kyleena) but they switched my provider last minute and a complete stranger walked in to do my procedure. When I asked about it, the woman (Lydia Stout if I’m not mistaken) was nice and said she was happy to reschedule the appt with Brooke, but I’d already waited and dreaded this procedure for weeks and just wanted to get it over with. I took 1000mg of Tylenol and used cannabis an hour before my appt to mitigate pain and it was still 10x more painful than the last time I had this done. I even called prior to my appt to ask about misoprostol to soften the cervix and they basically said it wasn’t worth doing. Funny enough, this woman who attempted my procedure couldn’t get the IUD in after trying MULTIPLE times while I screamed in pain. (My first IUD took all of 3 seconds, not 2-3 minutes of agony) Lydia said the IUD might just be too big for me. But “misoprostol wouldn’t be worth it” yeah right. But she offered me VALIUM. ????
I’ve been coming here since I was 19 years old. I’m almost 32. My provider for nearly a decade was Jolene Griffith, who’s no longer with WGCA and I tried to track down with no luck. I was willing to give this place a chance with another provider but it proved to be a complete and utter disaster.
Not only do I have to find a new provider and go through all of this all over again, but I have no IUD in the mean time.
I feel disrespected, neglected, and absolutely devastated. I will be telling everyone I know to stay away from this clinic.
I have been going to this practice since I was a teenager. My mom goes here, a couple of friends and my daughter.
They are so caring and compassionate. They pick up on things too, and offer help. I am so thankful for them.
All the staff is wonderful.
I highly recommend them. ????
I had Dr Morningstar for decades until she retired. She was outstanding. In the interim between her and PA Brittany Scott I had another doctor that I never really clicked with but she has left the practice. I hope my future appointments are with Brittany. She was very knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and made me feel totally at ease out an embarrassing condition that had developed because of a new medicine I was taking.
I am sad to see so many negative experiences with this practice on here. I have always received good or more often great care from the doctors, nurses, and receptionists. I appreciate that the doctors and staff are all female, it’s a great environment to receive care as a woman. Dr. Heather Florescue has been my doctor for a few years now and is not only the best OBGYN but the best doctor I’ve ever encountered. If it wasn’t for her care and compassion, I might not be looking forward to the birth of my daughter in a few weeks. I hope to be her patient as long as she’s practicing!
I've been with the practice for several years. There have been few times I've had less than "great" service. I use the portal to communicate clearly and respectfully and have been pleased with the sincerity and communication. Healthcare isn't perfect and neither are the providers. My first step is always to the source and they've been receptive and willing to grow from any errors on their part. I've also been able to reach out to management and have an expedient response, usually less than 24 hours, for any questions or concerns I may have, not always bad but questions to help ease my mind.
Overall communication and care has been top priority from this practice and keeps me coming back. The caring doesn't end with me. I've had to have a procedure done and the care and compassion was further extended to my family and loved ones to ease their minds as well. I appreciate that more than I could express.
Left at the end of my second trimester of my pregnancy.. was only seeing nurses (who were kind) until the last appointment where I met with a doctor for the first time and had a horrible experience. I wanted more information on a product/ wanted to discuss risks and NEVER declined it but was told that risks don’t matter and that I seem like a “nice girl” and “wouldn’t want social workers called on me” and then she proceeded to tell me to get off the internet and stop reading so much. I switched offices and asked around and have never heard anyone else be threatened or treated this way. Very unprofessional. (Not saying everyone at this office is the same way but it is important to be respectful to patients)
