Best WLM Reviews
Please use caution! If you need a roof over your head for a night it does the trick but I would NOT recommend for families. The person at the front was incredibly friendly and helpful but your experience goes down from there. The building we were in had 3 doors which anyone could access and the lobby looked clean but had an off putting smell. The hallways reminded me of The Shining, so if you’re into that, it’s a bonus. Our room had a very unpleasant and odd odor, for a nonsmoking room it was awfully smelly. TV did not work and the bedding has an obscene amount of cigarette burns and holes. Avoid turning on the overhead lights if you’d like to keep your sanity about cleanliness. Everything is outdated (besides the lamp that I recommend using) and everything looks like it’s moments from breaking if not already broken. The toilet wouldn’t flush unless you took the back of the toilet off and fixed the plug so the tank would fill. The key card barely worked and none of the locks worked properly. The pool was so sad and the property was just the same, with long term residence watching your every movement. The take away from our experience would be to spend a little more money and stay somewhere else. It’s in great proximity from Cedar point, friendly staff and the price will speak for itself. We come regularly to Sandusky and have stayed all over and there are cleaner, safer and more family friendly places to stay.
The Good: Cheap room to sleep in, clean bathroom and floor. DOUGHNUT SHOP was fabulous. The Bad: Overwhelming smell of dirty ashtrays and 20 yrs of stale cigarettes. DOOR deadbolt completely broken. The Ugly: Bedspread had significant wear and tear. Overhead light/ no lamp. No coffee maker. No Bible.
My stay was back in June but I am catching up on my Google reviews now so here goes- I was in sandusky for a hobby event from Pittsburgh, and left my house at 3am on a Saturday to make the drive and go to the event. Mistakenly, I hadn't realized that Upper Sandusky and Sandusky were about 1 hr apart, and knew once the event was over that I absolutely could not drive another hour anywhere. So, the only place with a great price was this place. it looked decent enough as a solo woman traveller. The booking was easy and the price was about right. I had booked a non smoking room with a twin bed I believe. the front desk woman was very nice and I had no problems checking in or out of the hotel. HOWEVER: as a solo female i would not stay here alone again. The room smelled awful... like someone who hadn't showered in weeks. The rooms condition was pretty bad. ripped and stained carpets, absolutely nasty bed spread, and the lock on the door wasn't the best of quality for rooms that have outdoor access. There was a party going on somewhere around me until about 4am, where I could hear yelling, music, and things being thrown. I also had someone sitting outside directly infront of my AC unit outside (which was also abysmal by the way) and my whole room stunk up of weed. I put pieces of furniture infront of the door, as well as used my own blanket. In the end nothing happened and nobody bothered me, but the whole place gave me an uneasy feeling and gave me lots of anxiety. it was super convinetly located only moments from multiple stores and restaurants, which i did appreciate when dinner time rolled around. overall, I think if I had a boyfriend/dad/friend/husband with me I would have felt alot safer, and probably would only return if it was genuinely the last place available within hours alone.
Sure, it's cheap and close to cedar point. But this is a horrible "hotel". Room 155 is just sad. No deadbolt, locks barely function. The key card system is faulty and you have to jiggle the door several times to get it to register the card was tapped, the guy says it was because of a rain storm that came thru.
TV doesn't work, microwave barely works, beds are janky and the pillows are literally flat and lumpy. No coffee pot, no phone in the room. Cheap old thrift store dresser missing handles and a beat up table without chairs. The place is noisy from the people who seem to just live here. You can't enter your room without someone hovering and watching you. We drove 2 hours to stay for CP Halloweekends with our three year old and I didn't feel like this was a good place to bring her. AVOID!!
I was a little worried after reading some reviews, but I was very pleased with the experience. My room was in the adjacent building (behind donut shop). It had decent parking, a nice lobby with comfortable seating, and it was all very clean. The room had good AC, TV with cable, microwave, refrigerator, desk, and a little seating area with a coffee table! It had a wide hallway with nice carpet. Everything appeared well-maintained. The office was also nice. I would definitely stay here again!
This place was not the best, but it wasn't the worst either. It was dated, but clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating. In the "Executive Suites" the rooms were much larger than the other lodging available. The bathrooms are very small, and really needs remodeling. The bedding was old and worn out in some rooms and ok in others. The beds were hit and miss with comfort depending on the room you got. Plumbing was spotty. We only stayed one night because we were checking into Kalahari the next day, so it was OK to just get a good night's sleep. The pool is outdoors and very clean.
Maybe It's not 5 Stars hotel, but , good friend told me the rome was clean and comfortable. The location was great and the hotel team are spectacular ! And she paid a funny price for a night.
Wolf Inn hotel is a great choice! Don't hesitate:)
Positive: Location near cedar point. great no frills hotel for the price! There are 2 diners right on the property for breakfast. Pizza across the street. Fridge with small freezer in room Negative: ""
