This place is great! We showed up 30 minutes before close on a long trip back home. We were tired and hungry and left refreshed and full! The staff was super friendly, chatted with us and kept our drinks topped off and made sure we were well taken care of! Even right before close the food was fresh and hot! The catfish is to die for! The Mac and cheese was thick and creamy, and my wife loved it, and she’s picky about her Mac! The okra was crispy and perfectly cooked! Highly recommend stopping here for a bite!
Came here based on a recommendation and it was pretty good. We should really come back for a fair assessment but our experience wasn't anything that would prevent us from coming back. The food was good, the service was a little slow. The atmosphere was kinda like old school cafe style. I had the catfish and she had the shrimp, both fried.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The most country restaurant I’ve ever been to, waitress was lovely, atmosphere was quiet enough to hear my family talk, and the food was phenomenal
This place was amazing! My husband & I both got the catfish it was great and I am picky. There was more than enough food on our plate. Restaurant was clean, and our server’s name was Grace, she went above and beyond to make sure our first time here was memorable!
Our 1st time coming here and what a great experience all around from walking in, the food, the service and even paying the check lol. Our waitress was Myrtle and she was very nice, answered any questions we had and didn't rush us in any way. The food tasted very very good only possible complaint is the cornbread could use some work it was dry and bland. Will definitely be back.
We asked for suggestions for a nice restaurant to celebrate our 10th anniversary, this one came up first. So glad we went. The chicken fried steak was melt in my mouth good. The portions were spot on the right amount. We enjoyed the cafe and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. We will be back soon.
So the reason for the 4 stars is because of how long I had to wait for 10 pieces of cornbread I ordered to go. I waited almost an hour for it. I've eaten here before and ordered a catfish dinner, with mashed potatoes, black-eye peas and cornbread. The cornbread and black-eye peas has me hooked! They were so good! Wasn't a fan of the catfish as I was expecting fillet type fried catfish and not chicken tender type fried catfish. They were really small. The mashed potatoes were also bland to the taste and I was not told they come with white gravy. I do not eat white gravy on my mashed potatoes, only brown and it was quickly replaced. Except for these, overall the rest of the food was really good. The waitress was excellent and was very attentive to me. She even complimented my hair and outfit and this really made my day. I didn't get her name and I wish I had done so. She was really sweet. Would highly recommend eating at this place! I'd call ahead for the cornbread if just ordering cornbread, though ???? ????!
The food is wonderful, the staff is super nice, and I just love this place!
