Loved this place! I decided to have sushi after a long day at work and Wokcano was the right choice. The place was clean, the food was delicious and the staff were caring and professional. Shoutout to Robert (Colombia) for such an excellent job.
Now, about the food. I started with the hot appetizer called "The Monkey Brain" and I chose "The Ginseng Mule" from their signature cocktails. The Ginseng Mule was super refreshing. The Monkey Brain was a great combination of flavors, highly recommended.
I also ordered the "Late Night Party Roll". I've never tried anything like it but I loved it. After three consecutive hits, I had to get dessert. I ordered a "Cappuccino", not a coffee, but some sort of cake and mouse that does look like a coffee cup, very good too.
Came on a Friday about 730pm and quickly got a table for 4. No parking available so you gonna have to find street parking or use a reasonable parking structure nearby. Ordered the Mapo Tofu and Double Kung Pao. Kung Pao was decent but lacked spiciness. I was surprised that I enjoyed the Tofu more but wish it was spicier too. Customer service could be a little better but not bad. Wife got Pad Thai and enjoyed it. Sister got Short Ribs and she recommends it.
This place never disappoints when I come. Rice portions are big so beware, It's a share size! Sushi is decent but still good. Service is really good! Clean restaurant and restrooms! Sometimes drunk people can walk in and be really loud. But other than that it's good!
Good food in a good environment. I happened to stop by for dinner during their happy hours so things were cheaper than their normal rate. Nonetheless the food was good.
The Singapore noodles tasted a little stale but the hot and sour soup was absolutely delicious. Loved the atmosphere and customer service.
I’ve gone here in the past and I stopped by because I was in the area. A solid Chinese restaurant in DTLA.
I ordered a miso soup, Chinese double chicken salad and garlic brussel sprouts. The soup was a solid starter and the Chinese chicken solid was descent, and the brussel sprouts were the best dish of the day. Their other happy hour food items looked real good & it was a great selection.
I’d definitely come back again and try their other menu items. The customer service was excellent and an overall solid dining experience.
Good food with quick service. Nothing to crazy but for it was nearby and open late, no complaints! The orange tofu was very good as was the noodle dish ordered. The crispy Brussels sprouts were also super good and came out quick which was nice.
The orange chicken is chewy, tastes like leftover chicken dipped in over sweet goo.
Buy 1, get 1 free...now i know why.
The hot and sour soup is bland. No hot, no sour. The soup is the main reason i tried this spot.
The side salad was good. Basic ingredients with a good vinaigrette
