We specified for fresh and spicy food. Ordered Angry prawns ( dipped in mayo and there weren’t spicy at all). Burnt garlic chicken fried rice. and the waiter got bland rice with undercooked chicken. We sent it back and asked cook it and spice it up.
Got the same order with in 2-3 minutes with same undercooked chicken and loads of green chillies added to it. Took a spoonful of rice and my mouth and tummy were on fire.
Literally made my husband put his fried rice twice back first in the bowl and next in the to go box.
As we were paying, the manager said he wont charge for the fried rice.
I would have preferred him coming to the table and fixing our issue than offering us no charges for rice.
I asked him to charge us as I am not wasting food and would rather cook and eat it at home.
But before that my husband picked out quite a few green chilies and missed quite a few.
Literally our tummies were Angry after that rice.
Definitely would try again next time just because their prawns and chicken were fresh but under cooked compared to other Indian restaurants which are pro in serving stale chicken
We visited there first time for our anniversary lunch date. There were variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian menu. We had crispy corn, noodles with chicken and shrimp. Taste of food was really great. One thing I noticed that food had so much oil but I didn’t mind that as it was so tasty. I recommend this place for special occasions too.
We have been taking out from these place last several years and no disappointment at all. But never had a chance to try dine in experience so decided to do it this time and was so pleased with everything. Our sever Nilesh was amazing and very caring individual.
The whole place was amazing with very good food, service and atmosphere.
Would love to go again.
WOW!!!! This restaurant absolutely blew my husband and I away! Every single thing was absolutely delicious. I had a long island iced tea, and it was the perfect tartness, not overly sweet. The best Long Island I've ever had! We started with the angry prawns, which again were delicious. We ate them all up! My husband had the Tom Yum soup and he is still raving about it this morning as he ate his leftovers for breakfast. He has been searching for that flavor for years, and is ecstatic he has found it again. My husband had the Mango chicken, and I had the Kung Pao Eggplant, and the flavors were perfect! So well balanced we wondered if we were dreaming. The best part? How satisfied we felt at the conclusion of our meal. No discomfort, no over fullness or bloating. Just nice full tummies that carried us through until morning. I was ringing the bell on our way out! We were very happy!! We will continue to come back and try new menu options, there are so many options and they all sound delicious!
The atmosphere is also wonderful. I loved the music, it had me dancing in my seat. The place is so well decorated, artsy and beautiful.
If you have not tried this restaurant, you are surely missing out! Don't visit if you're in a rush, make sure you come when you can take your time and enjoy your meal and ambiance. The service is not as attentive as you may be familiar with, but it was just attentive enough to were we were not waiting too long, but also not bothered too much.
I highly, highly recommend Wok On Fire! Delicious, beautiful, and no they didn't pay me to write this. I am just truly so excited.
*Please note my picture was after I had already been eating, it was served much prettier! I got the Kung Pao Eggplant
First of all, this is not a "Chinese" food place but "Indo-Chinese" place, that originated couple hundred years ago, by Chinese immigrants in Kolkata region in India.
The triangle has only two Indochinese (other one is Inchin Bamboo Garden) and I vastly prefer this one.
I have been here for dining for more times than I care to admit, this is a rock solid place fir Indo-chinese food.
The waiting time for food is not long at all, usually within 10/15 minutes, which is a big plus and cant say the same for other good Indian places (Looking at you Anjappar)
Drums of heaven, Manchurian Chicken, Chilli Chicken, Black pepper chicken, pepper cottage cheese, Szechuan fried rice, hakka noodles -- all very good, very satisfying.
The corn kernel starter is absolutely amazing, crunch chewy corns smothered in green onion, salt pepper garlic-- awesome.
Ginger Chicken, burnt Garlic fish -- also good, but prefer the items above.
Was always served with polite service.
Update on the buffet: I tried it only once -- if you have an itch for indochinese, this will mostly take of it. Not too many items but covers the range adequately. Everything was warm and fresh.
My wife and I went here for dinner before enjoying a show at Raleigh Improv. Service was outstanding, we arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately. The waiter was kind and attentive, and very helpful with choosing from the menu. I got the Dry Chicken Manchurian and my wife got Black Pepper Chicken. Both were spice level medium and amazing. The chicken was delicious. We also enjoyed some Chicken Momo and Chili Tofu. Highly recommend trying it out!
I recently visited wok on fire for dinner. I was super excited to try indo Chinese food after a long time. The food here exceeded my expectations. I tried their Black Pepper Chicken, Cauliflower Manchurian, Veg Manchurian Gravy and their Chicken 65 fried rice. All the items I had ordered were really good. While I loved the taste of black pepper chicken, I found it too oily for my liking. I would definitely give 5 stars if not for the over usage of oil in all the dishes. The combination of veg Manchurian and fried rice was just perfect! I would definitely visit here again.
It's a really good & delicious Indo-Chinese & Thai food place around the area.
With a balance of taste in its food , It's my go to for Indo Chinese cravings
Just one thing please do not add broccoli to Indo-Chinese ❤️❤️
