Best WLM Reviews
Went tonight, we went to the Arboretum for the Christmas lights, Beautiful I might add! Decided to go to this restaurant, and it was above and beyond our expectations! We did the happy hour deal, and the drinks and apps were amazing! Our waiter Jay was the best! So knowledgeable about the menu, and his table side old fashion was video worthy! Great personality too!
This is a great place! The inside is decorated beautiful, the staff was great, and the food was excellent. I had the stir fry with chicken and loved it.
I’ve been a regular customer of this restaurant for takeout, ordering once or twice a month, but after our most recent experience, we won’t be going back. The food quality has steadily declined over time, and it’s become almost inedible. The dishes consistently lack flavor and are incredibly bland. You’d think a restaurant would improve over time, but it seems to be doing the exact opposite.
The service is another major issue. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty whenever I go to pick up my order, they consistently miss their pickup windows. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt multiple times, but the delays are inexcusable at this point.
The final straw was finding raw chicken in my dish during my most recent order. This is not just disappointing—it’s dangerous. I honestly can’t believe we didn’t stop ordering from this place sooner. There are so many better options in the area, and I highly recommend exploring those instead. This restaurant just isn’t worth the risk or the wait.
Jay was the most welcoming and attentive waiter! Went through the popular items and made serval suggestions for our first dining experience at wok n fire! Food was just as amazing! Highly recommend.
We were pleasantly surprised. Great food and drinks. The dumplings were great.
Incredibly average. My experience was lackluster at best at this restaurant. Numerous items were unavailable off the menu and they somehow didn’t carry any hot sauce. The items that we did order were bland to mild at best, which is very disappointing for a restaurant that is supposed to be serving high level Asian cuisine. The service was good, which is the only thing that saved my experience. Overpaying for average food is a major pet peeve of mine and this one was a shining example of that.
My boyfriend and I come in all the time and love it here. We always request April as our server. She is amazing and everything she recommends is always delicious. She is very personable and always makes us feel welcome. We so get Jay as our server and he is amazing as well. Overall great staff and delicious food.
Ww ate here at the south Barrington location and April was excellent. The food was great and it is just beautiful inside. This will now become our spot during the morning car events!
