Best WLM Reviews
Have had a co-worker telling me about this place for about a year now and I finally made it out. He really undersold it about how good it was and how nice everyone was. I ordered the Reuben and I had some of the best pastrami I've ever had in my life on it. My parents grabbed the bologna sandwich and shrimp and chicken gumbo and they absolutely loved it as well. Another thing is the prices. For what you get it is incredibly cheap and I actually expected this meal to cost us around 60 to $70 but it was less than 50. For what you get, the price can't be beat. I cannot wait to come back!
I came to Batesburg for a friend of mine. I ordered a medium rare prime rib. It came out well done. I simply asked for another one since it was way over cooked. The owner “Sheryl” came out and argued with me that it wasn’t. (I have the pics to show it was)…I don’t mind paying for a good meal, but this was unbelievable when she argued with me at the table that this was how it was supposed to be. Meanwhile Matt and our server were fantastic, but I won’t go spend another$100 down at a place that don’t listen to their customers…will spend my money somewhere else!!!
I’m passed by this place many times. I finally stopped in because I was tired of chain restaurants . I got the rib platter. The ribs were nice and tender. The coleslaw was homemade.
Very tasty. The service was great and the prices reasonable.
Next time I want to try the Batesburger.
I ordered the smoked prime rib with sautéed vegetables and a salad.
The food was excellent!! Wiz Eatery 2 0 was recommended to me last by a fellow pickleball player.
Friday evenings have smoked prime rib and Saturday evenings have grilled prime rib...
I will be going back again and have recommended this eatery to many others as well.
The prime rib is the best that I've ever eaten in the 26 states where u e traveled l.
Tory took care of us and was courteous and kept our glasses full. We received great service with a smile. The atmosphere of the restaurant is casual and cool. It has the vibe of a late 1990's family restaurant, but with artistic pictures of pop culture references on the walls. There is also a large bar in a seperate room.
Cheryl, the owner came to check on us and was extremely personable and warm. This establishment is owned by a family who is passionate about cuisine and making happy customers in their community.
Regarding the food, the portions are MASSIVE! Prepare to take a doggie box home, because you will have leftovers. We barely touched our entree because the salad bar was delicious, and we also ordered the brand new Caprese salad. 10 out of 10! This is our 4th time eating at Wiz's and they are consistently wonderful and delicious! ????
From the start this place looks crowded and not very welcoming. As I was waiting with a 2 year old to be seated I was told by an older lady that I can’t stand by the door to the kitchen because I was blocking the waiters/waitress's path, I moved over to where the cold bar was and she again told me I couldn’t stand there because I was blocking the path. I moved to in front of the door where she again told me I couldn’t stand and proceeded to argue with me over where it is appropriate to stand instead of seating our party of 4. She then seated a different party that came in after us to prove a point. I ordered a French dip, sandwiches soggy from all the cheese sauce they put on it and the French fries were cold. Poor customer service, poor food quality and the bill was over priced. If you are considering this place as an establishment to eat at my recommendation is to pick somewhere else.
I had not been here since the reopening but I am glad I came. The salad bar was well stocked and was amazing. I should have just purchased that! I got a cheese covered chicken breast and my wife got the French dip. Food was really good. Very busy and popular establishment! I will be back.
New Orleans BBQ Shrimp and a side salad we're definitely worth the price!!
More than you can eat by yourself!
