The drink menu is robust.
Shareables were tasty.
The restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Server was pleasant and attentive.
It's a steak house. Those were all below average. Presentation and quality below the price point charged.
On a slow Thursday night 2 in the party considered splitting a large steak. Once the order was placed in the kitchen, they were suddenly out of that selection of steak forcing the purchase of 2 individual steaks. Questionable at best.
Enjoy a beverage and a nosh here. But look elsewhere for a high end meal.
This is a high quality restaurant with tapas options. There is a happy hour which offers discounted drinks from 4-6pm. Our waiter, Ivan, was upbeat, knowledgeable about the menu, and very friendly. The food was great! The steak was cooked perfectly and the fish was full of flavor. The only thing that wasn’t great was the calamari. The flavor was there, but it wasn’t cooked great. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place and will be returning to try the other offerings.

All out of dry aged steaks. Food arrived prepared as requested, but the steaks lacked seasoning, I suppose they rely on the toppings you choose to add on to bring all the flavor but I like the meat to have some flavor on its own. Truffle mac portion was sizeable but unfortunately I didn't care for the flavor. The Lobster Bisque had good flavor, just lacking lobster. Overpriced for the food quality.
Our service was very knowledgeable about the menu and checked in just enough for us to feel like valued guests. Our food came quickly, the steaks were so buttery and tasty...our appetizers were delicious. The delicious pretzel. The atmosphere was very clean, comfortable. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!!
Paige was a fantastic server! The food was elegant, presented with flair. The chef did a fantastic job! Sitting outside on the patio on a beautiful evening just added to experience! We will definitely come back!
A couple of friends and I went on a Saturday early evening about 5pm...Hoping we'd beat the busy "reserved" crowd because we kind of made these plans last minute well boy we're we in for a surprise when we found the only available seating immediately at that time would be at the bar. Most would probably be a little discouraged as we first thought as well but WOW! what a blessing it was! Hands down the best seats in the house, that's if you enjoy amazing service filled with laughter and genuine kindness and all around attention to detail! Our waitress/bartender was Alicia, a breath of fresh air you can really tell she loves what she does. Now on to the goods!! We were first recommended some of the handcrafted specialty cocktails they have seasonally, I had the pomegranate mojito, outstanding! and my friends had a white chocolate covered raspberry martini which I tried and was also delicious, a Santa Martini, not particularly my thing but she loved it, and lastly a Bloody Mary. Then Alicia suggested that we share the crab cakes (excellent recommendation!) they were so full of flavor. Then two of us enjoyed (understatement) the French onion soup, and other the field
salad. warm bread was then brought with butter and some unique salts while we waited for for our main courses! we all shared the scallops and prawns and bacon mac and cheese! All absolutely to die for!! the portions were great for the price even had left over mac which was even delicious the next day (and I'm not much of a leftovers type) Hands down what Janesville needs and can't wait to come back during the summer to enjoy the patio! Hope Alicia is still there because she most definitely made our visit top notch! Didn't miss a thing drinks full and convo flowed all while she served other's and made drinks for the other employees...If I could give 10 stars they'd deserve it that night!! Thank you Alicia and bravo to the chef!!
Had dinner as part of a birthday party. Service, drinks and food were great. We had the dry aged steak and it was outstanding along with the mushroom risotto and a strawberry cheesecake tiramisu. Wide selection of spirits and wine and many options within the menu.
WOW! AMAZING FOOD! I can't say enough good things about Wissota Chophouse! Their food is AMAZING! The drinks are AMAZING! And the desserts are, you guessed it... AMAZING! The prices are a little high for Janesville, but definitely well worth it! Hopefully we will be able to keep this restaurant in Janesville! The food is prepared to your liking, and it just melts in your mouth. It is a smaller, cozier restaurant than most are used too, but there's space on the patio too! Service was great, even if she wouldn't pick up the tab for my birthday, LOL! If you can look at these pics and not have your mouth watering, then there's something wrong with you. Mom's and dad's call the babysitters, cuz this is definitely a place that needs to be on the list for date night! That's right, leave the kids at home and enjoy a mouth watering steak that's been aged for 45 or 80 days, some lamb chops, seafood, or chicken with your topping of choice, may it be mushrooms and onions or Oscar it! Don't forget the calamari, alligator, or rabbit for a small teazer before your entrée comes. Then you can get a side for two, and split the fully loaded mashed potatoes or hog them all to yourself! But save room for those towering carrot cake or chocolate cake. You DON'T want to miss out on that! ENJOY!!!
