Pulled in at 6:05pm (office closes at 6pm.) We happened to drive up to a woman leaving the office for the night. From that point forward, for the next 16 hrs until we pulled out and continued on our journey, we experienced nothing but exceptional customer service, extremely clean and tidy property, campsite, and restroom/shower facilities, and the grounds occupied the nicest, friendliest, quietest campers all around us.
The place was inviting, clean, and worth every penny.
Stayed in a deluxe cabin and it was great! Had all of the supplies we needed including pots/pans, dishware, and a clean grill!!! The patio and chairs were very nice as well.
We did have our carbon monoxide detector go off, and staff came immediately once I called and thankfully it was only the batteries! Will definitely stay again when coming to the dells!
This is one of the best places you can stay if your looking for a great campground! My family and I had the best time, we stayed from Friday till Tuesday and Brandon and Derek made our experience amazing! the staff is so nice and very friendly My family and I cant wait for the opportunity to come back and make more memories! This places deservers more then just a 5 star rating! My kids loved the pool and the splash pad! Thank you guys for an amazing time!
We absolutely loved this KOA campground! We felt very secure as the operators were so nice and often traveled through making sure the sites were clean and all were taken care of! This was close proximity to all the amusement places and the Dells Boat Tours, which were beautiful to explore the WI River area! We highly recommend this KOA!
Spent two nights here. Great employees for sure! The women who runs the little store here is such a sweetheart! Other employees will make you comfortable backing in your trailer and they keep the place clean. A little crowded for my liking but a great atmosphere! Close to all the other Dell's activities. Water, power, and cable hook ups too.
This has been our campsite to go since 2004. To say this was the first time we have experienced an employee being rude is sad. The employee Kris taking care of the store wasn't the greatest to our kids. We vacationed with 2 other families and we all have little ones. Our girls went in the store to purchase things but everytime they would come back to the cabin they complained on how rude Kris was. She made them feel uncomfortable. I didn't want to believe it but on our last night my 12 year old niece wanted to go get goodies to eat. She went with our other girls and as I was walking in I see her clapping her hands and telling the girls if they weren't buying anything that they needed to leave. Mind you my niece had 2 items in her hand. I then confronted her about it and she said they had been in there 3 other times but they have been purchasing stuff so what is the problem. She then proceeds to say that they all have to watch the children while in there and must be accompanied by a parent. There are no signs that say how many times they are limit to be in the store nor that children must be with a parent. But she was the ONLY employee they complained about. If it wasn't for this employee our stay would of been great. If this is a pet and kid friendly place why were they treated like this? Very disappointing!
Stayed at a deluxe cabin! Was nice and like many other KOAs was pretty decent and quiet amongst the crowd.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, also staff were abundant here, more then other KOA's.
The pool and splash pad were very fun, and great for kids.
Location is very close to Wisconsin Dells and Lake Denton. Theres also a newly installed sidewalk at the intersection if you dont have a car and dont mind a 1/4 a mile walk.
Two small issues but this was just for me, not everyone.
One was our cabin was dusty all over before we arrived, (not dusty enough to see but you could feel it when touching surfaces/floors) which an accidental mishap was excusable and we contiued our stay without issue.
Second was our cabin was very close to another site? Now i didnt plan the site or have any issues with the neighbors beside, but it was just a little akward to have another group, 4 feet from my windows constantly ~
Otherwise, a great deal and budget friendly option for the nearby waterparks and rides, plus many brochures and staff to help you find what maybe best for you or family. ~
Will stop by again sometime ~♡ thanks!
We reserved a full hook-up for our 30-foot class C RV months ago. We planned to arrive July 4 and depart July 12. Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles. Kris checked us in to site number 21. This site had no room for our motorhome, let alone a vehicle or canopy/protection from bugs. Please see our pictures. Had we hooked up, our neighbors would have been eating a mere feet from our sewer hose. When I returned to the office in search of an appropriate site, I was met with a totally different demeanor from Kris. She was totally unprofessional and rude. She not only indicated they had no other site, but told us we would “have to stay” as we would get no other site anywhere in the vicinity. While entirely a possibility, we had no choice but to request a full refund and leave with no place to camp. (We had come from Western New York.) Kris did issue a full refund. We are beyond grateful to Sherwood Forest campground a couple of miles away. They performed magic, saved our vacation and got us a full hook-up for the same duration. We were willing to move from site to site if needed, but ended up not even having to do so! This was ON the Fourth of July!! We will NEVER, EVER book with KOA….anywhere. Sad, this KOA in Wisconsin Dells has cost every KOA across the country our business. As a family who has been to 49 states, 48 with our motorhome, that is a lot of business this KOA and Kris have cost the KOA.
