Best WLM Reviews

Came here at 4 pm on a Saturday. Initially it was empty, but the beer menu was huge. There were so many options that we had fun trying the different German beers. The pretzel was an authentic German pretzel, so we decided to stay for dinner and see if it was also authentic. It was. Dinner was incredible. We had the weisswurst and Jaeger schnitzel. Amazing! The home made spaetzle, fries and sauerkraut were also authentic German food. Incredible service, food, and great prices. We will definitely be back to taste their rotating German beer list.
The wursts are worth it! with two sides and probably the additional wurst too, It's a good amount of food!
We came in on a Saturday night and they had an accordion player outside for the night, and that made the space really loud. There was a good amount of people, but not packed. The servers were prompt and also pretty jovial.
We got a couple beers and they had unique glasses, which was impressive. The pretzel we got was alright and the orange sauce with it was kinda strange. I ate the wild boar wurst and the pork and cheese wurst. The casing had a good snap and both of them were robust in flavor. The sides were plentiful. They have a lot of choices if you’re not feeling Brussels sprouts and sauerkraut too.
Really good food here. A popular place as it is always busy and a lot of fun with friends. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good German food place in LA
Based on the reviews, I was already very confident that this place was going to be great. After ordering some samplers on their beer and sausages, I was absolutely satisfied! The sausages were just perfect! Crispy skin with juicy and tender meat inside. The beer flight was worth of trying with 5 pours. Highlight would be the apple strudel— the best one I’ve had in my life! It was warm, fresh and well balanced. Not overly sweet and the ice cream and whipped cream were just enough. I will come back for this ????
The only little flaw is the ????… It was on and off with all kinds of music genres, which sounded poorly organized and chaotic. It can also get a bit loud as our table was very close to the speaker.
Overall, good price and nice quality food! Will come back for sure ????
*street meter parking nearby was fairly easy. 2 hour limit before 8pm ????
It's a great little place with a relaxed vibe. The food is delicious and they have the most extensive German beer menu I've ever seen
Tl;dr: good schnitzel, live music, happy vibes
Came here during 'Oktoberfest' last year and WHAT A BLAST! They had a guy playing live music Friday night & some sports games going on- and we had a fantastic time. (If you happen to not be coming during Oktoberfest, apparently they have something like it on the first Saturday of the month).
What we got: Autobahn beer flight, 2 bottled beers- korbinian & ayinger, wirsthaus schnitzel w/ garlic green beans and fried potatoes, wildschwein wurst + scharfe wurst w/ fries and sauerkraut
- beer flight ($16- set 5 beers: Hefeweizen, Oktoberfest, kloster doppelback, koltsch, ?forgot the last one). We liked the variety! During Oktoberfest, you have to get the 1L size of beers and we didn't want to commit
- we had the Welhenstephener Korbinian before on tap in a German Lake Tahoe restaurant, and I loved it! Was so happy it was here. Super smooth
- Ayinger was our last choice after long deliberation and it was also surprisingly good; tasted like a more flavored Pilsner (but I am no beer expert)
- the food was amazing!!! I think it was the best German food I've had recently, especially the Schnitzel we ordered
- boar sausage was just ok, we preferred the spicy beef which had a nice kick & more flavor
Music and quality service was such a nice touch. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was such a hard worker & attentive to our needs. Would def recommend and come back! Probably would opt out of sausage next time and order different apps
Plenty of outdoor patio seating, great German beer selection and an abundance of amazing food options. The Jaeger Schnitzel was outstanding with the wild mushroom gravy stealing the show. Loved the potato salad and sour kraut too. Not to be ignored, the Kaiser Schnitzel with the sun dried tomato cream sauce is a great option too. I would be remiss if I didn't sing the praises of the exotic meat sausage sampler plate...AMAZING!!!
If you want to taste authentic German cuisine without taking the plane then this is the place. Food was fresh. Pretzel was a bit dry but the sweet mustard was amazing. They do offer vegan/vegetarian options in the each categories. This is a wonderful thought for accommodating everyone and being able to enjoy German food. Quantity of main dish is ok but I would suggest to take an appetizer to share. Oh and don’t forget to visit the toilet (must).
