Wow! This place is a hidden gem! We were seated without any wait, by the chef himself. Our server was not just friendly, she took the time to chat with us. We ordered the Oyster Sampler to start and they are not lying when they say their Chargrilled Oysters are famous! Definitely our favorite, but the others were delicious as well. Then we ordered the broiled JO Platter with a house salad and fried okra. The salad was so fresh with their house made ranch and croutons. So delicious, I couldn’t stop eating it! We had to get their bread pudding to go because we were so full, but our server told us the best way to serve it. Can’t wait to try it! The service was absolutely fantastic! Wish we had one of these in Atlanta!!

Bri took really good care of us! We loved the food. Everything we had was so tasty. We were in town for 5 days and ate here 3 days out of the 5! The soft shell crab was amazing! The jambalaya was so good The sampler plate was what I had and it was so good! Deep fried pickles were amazing and the bloody Mary was superb!
Wintzell's Oyster House is a breeze to reach from Interstate 65, and it's a culinary gem worth the stop. The fried okra, crispy and delightful, set the stage for a flavorful experience.
The seafood pasta, adorned with beautiful scallops and plentiful shrimp, was a highlight. Perfectly cooked pasta and a flavorful Alfredo sauce made it a memorable dish. The red beans and rice, featuring blackened chicken and Conecuh sausage, hit all the right notes.
As for the sweet finale, the bread pudding was nothing short of amazing – a perfect conclusion to a delightful meal.
A special shout-out to our server, who added to the positive experience, and patio dining was made even better with our pup Spike. Wintzell's delivers not just on the plate but also in creating a welcoming atmosphere. A must-visit for those craving delicious Southern fare.

The Gumbo was good But it had the Smallest Shrimp I've ever seen.
Bloody Mary was good but didn't have the fancy stuff that it usually has.
Love the Pickled Green beans.

We are so happy that we tried this local eatery. Great food and very friendly and helpful staff. It was just across the parking lot from The Comfort Inn North Mobile. We would definitely go back. :)
Food is good deal for the price it's 15-25$ a plate but you get a lot of food. The service is great they are Johnny on the spot. A must stop if you like seafood but they do have a little of everything from tacos to chicken fingers to seafood. I will say most everything on the menu is based on market price.
