I recently had the pleasure of visiting a delightful ski resort. The slopes were well-maintained, offering a variety of runs for all skill levels. The staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience. I appreciated the cozy lodge with its warm fireplace and delicious food options. Overall, it was a memorable trip filled with exhilarating skiing and enjoyable moments.
My husband and I got married at wintergreen on 10/11/2024 and I can't express how magical it was. Kierstin (on site wedding coordinator) was amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and so quick with her communication, which as a destination wedding (we're from Florida) was so appreciated. She was able to help with vendor suggestions, and was always there to help with all of our insane questions. She was an absolute trooper.
I also have to thank the Wintergreen reservations team. October in Florida is always precarious, but unfortunately the week of our wedding a serious Category 4 hurricane was heading straight for our home (thanks Milton!). The team was able to help us extend a few rental properties to help our friends and family evacuate from the storm early for safety. Their quick abilities helped us get friends and family out of danger and to our wedding which might not have been the case otherwise.
Growing up in Virginia and visiting Wintergreen for the last 35 years, It's so special that another major milestone of my life belongs here. My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our beautiful welcome dinner at the Lookout, our ceremony at the Blue Ridge Overlook (breathtaking), cocktail hour on the terrace (a little chilly for the Floridians), and our STUNNING reception at Upper Crust. The staff helping set up, serve and break down went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend so wonderful. Thank you all for everything!!!

Beautiful place. The rooms were Excellent. Very clean. Everything you could ask for, they had for you to use. Dishes, Coffee, tissues, extra towels. Will definitely stay here again.
Generally, it was a good experience. Great views, nice pickleball courts and golf course, clean facilities, multiple restaurants on property. Lodging was a bit dated. No cell signal on the top of the mountain. Poor wifi coverage. Dining options weren’t great. Still, it was a good weekend getaway.
Stayed in the lodge, 1st floor. It is very convenient for handicap although dining is not within the same building. Staff were wonderful: front desk, maintenance, and wait staff. The walk around property is lovely. Devils Knob is a challenging but fun 18-hole golf course. Definitely recommend and hope to go back again next year. Their golf package is a convenient way to go.
Wife booked a VRBO place for our anniversary. Very nice house in a beautiful location, but I do not like that a resort is built in the Appalachian Mountains it's such an eye sore when camping, driving, or hiking. Now that it's there, it can never be taken away. I usually avoid this area when taking trips to the mountains because it's viewable from the Parkway.
We stayed in Studio 195 at the MountaIn Lodge and found the beds to be too high for comfort. And there was no stepping stool available. We had reached late evening and contacted the front desk about it but we were told that at that time the housekeeping staff had retired and we would need to contact it next morning ... which we did. And then a stool was brought to us. We think that a stool should as it is be kept handy in the room. It was very uncomfortable all night without a stool. 2ndly there were no hooks on the bathroom doors to facilitate the hanging of clothes or towels. 3rdly the phone outlets on the bedside lamps were not working .. which was inconvenient. 4thly the extreme Right silverware drawer was tight to open and close and is a pain for people with arthritis. Lastly .. at the lobby Market place ... there was no Cortisone or Calamine lotion available. We had , on the 2nd day of our stay contracted Poison Ivy going about the grounds of the Lodge and realized it late at night before retiring to bed. And there was only a First Aid Kit with Neomycin & Bacitracin ointment available for sale there at the front desk. A Cortisone or Calamine should also be included for relief when needed. Thanks.
The area was stunning. Beautiful scenery. The resort rooms, not so much. The room was dusty, dirty, and stuffy. The hairdryer had ratted hair tangled in it. Many surfaces were caked with months worth of dust. If you want a crustic room, you've got the right place.
