First, I'll say I don't understand the reviews that say this place isn't "up to date". I stayed here in December of 2024 not too long after the hurricanes and they have a bit of damage they're working on but the room I stayed in was perfectly clean, and felt modern and cozy. The beach area they have is ideal. It's private, calm and has an amazing view. The girl who checked us in, Abby, was super polite, personable and helpful.
Very nice property for the price. The staff is excellent. Access to the beach is awesome. Beach attendants are great and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The location offers easy access to good restaurants and other activities. If you decide not to rent a car and rely on walking and Uber, this place is one of the best in Clearwater.
Had a wonderful stay, all the staff were very friendly, hotel was super clean, room was beyond nice, very comfortable bed, nice room decor. I received a free upgrade to a room facing the beach with ocean view and a large patio outside my room. The restaurant downstairs was very nice, great food and service. The bar out back on the beach was also great. Good drinks and friendly staff. The beach area was very clean and maintained throughout the day by the hotel employees. Overall it was excellent I will definitely be back again soon. Wish I could have stayed longer but had to get out of there Tuesday before the hurricane weather hits. Thanks again it was great!
As someone who loves conversation, marine life, and the story of Winter, I was excited to stay here. It's small, and seems old yet modern at the same time. Tucked in-between a lot of newer and large hotels. Unfortunately our stay was short and many things were closed - or just completely gone - from the recent hurricanes. Which is of course no fault of their own, but we did wish we had more things to enjoy.
The room was nice and comfortable, we loved being able to look out of our balcony at the ocean. Upside of the hurricane - it was relatively empty and the beach was quiet most of the day. Since the pool was closed they gave us free use of the umbrellas and the beach chairs. They also had beach towels you could check out which was super convenient.
Unfortunately there was no outdoor shower or faucet to rinse off, but this could have been due to the damage. The onsite restaurant was nice to have, but their breakfast was seriously lacking in options.
I loved seeing one of Winters prosthetic tails in the lobby. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back once it's restored and fully open.

Great service. I really enjoyed being greeted by Allen. He's the gentleman that's at the entrance to the beach. He was extremely helpful and willing to make sure you enjoy your stay. Thanks again Allen for your kindness!! The young lady that checked me in was also helpful and kind.
My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday, they complimentary upgraded our room to a full beach view room was spacious, clean, amazing view. Mark is AMAZING, Candace the waitress AMAZING. All the workers are so nice. I HIGHLY recommend staying at this hotel! Very convenient
Positive: We liked that it was on the beach. The lady who checked us out was very nice took off our parking due to some issues with our stay. The staff on the beach were excellent. Negative: The two girls working the front desk when we arrived were not very friendly or welcoming. They gave us a room and it stunk so bad we had to move. The next room was better but we could not shower because the water smelled so bad and towels were dirty.
No complaints. Room was clean, bed super comfy. I got upgraded to an ocean view with no problem. The private beach wax relaxing. I think there is a charge for the chairs, but we went out after 5 and didn’t pay and no one said anything. Beautiful sunset. The hotel is in a great location.
