RANT - Winter Garden Bowl...I want to share the shadiness that took place tonight. Went with a large group to Winter Garden Bowl and paid for 6 of us. When told that it would be $162.95 for 3 games and shoe rental I chuckled and half joking/half seriously asked if there were any discounts or deals available. The cashier just stared at me which led me to say "so, I am guessing that's a no?" while handing over the money. Well, lo and behold, on the way out I notice sign stating that Fridays are "All You Can Bowl" for $20pp INCLUDING shoe rental (we started bowling at 8pm fyi). So, I ask the lady at the register if the Friday deal was still a thing and I was advised that it is so I then asked why I paid $162.95 versus $120 plus tax. I was told that she didn't know how I was rung up, but she would get the person who took care of us. It was then that the very grumpy manager, Jen, came from the back and explained that I was charged for 3 games and shoes rental which is why I was charged what I was charged. I then asked her why I would be charged that way when they are offering the "All You Can Bowl" deal and she said because I didn't ask for it and then proceeded to tell me that there were no refunds. I reminded her that I very clearly asked before paying if there were any discounts or deals available and how she just stared at me without responding. I also let her know that what she did was shady and deceptive. Kind of makes me wonder why it was "cash only" tonight...so, just know WG...if you are planning to bowl on Friday night this month it is $20 per person and includes shoe rental! Be sure to be very specific that you want that price...not the per game price!
Friendly staff. Older alley but that added to the appeal. The machine that resets the pins isn't always accurate. I wouldn't suggest betting. Lol It helped my friend win. Reasonable prices.
Basic no frills bowling. Cosmic Bowling on Friday night. Shoe rental $4.50.
On a Tuesday around 2pm we bought two games each and it cost us $31.95 with the shoe rental included. The lane we were in had no hand dryer blowing, otherwise everything worked well. The service agent behind the counter was pleasant and helpful.
A great family owned local business which serves the local community and is a fantastic spot for fun with family and friends. The staff is very friendly and the facility is well maintained and run. The food is cooked fresh and is very reasonable.
We love this bowling alley, it is nostalgic of the 90s. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. It’s usually not very busy, if you want to go bowling, this is the spot to be!
Just had my sons Bday party here and it was great! 2 hours of non stop fun with unlimited sodas and each kid with their own individual pizza. Can’t beat the price. Staff was friendly fun and helpful. All the boys had a great time! Such a fun place for a great price!
This place absolutely sucks. Needs to be knocked down and replaced with something newer and modern. It's been here since I was a child. The lanes break down literally every 5 minutes and the only option is to move somewhere else when you're already comfortable where you are. As far as food goes, we didn't order anything other than the donuts and popcorn. The donuts tasted like Debbie cake donuts dropped in hot grease. The popcorn was standard. It reminds you of something in the 90s. Extremely antiquated. The only star I gave is cause I was with my family. Definitely won't come back here.
The bowling alley at Winter Garden Bowl provided a fun and casual atmosphere for a night out with friends. The overall experience was somewhat average compared to larger city entertainment venues.
