I called in while traveling many hours!
Looking for a room for my son and I.
I love stopping in Winnemucca on these trips!
Asked about availability for rooms as I couldn’t search Internet while driving.
Lady answered angrily. I ask about any available,
She said how many beds,
I say 1 and couch for my son, or two
She said we don’t have anything like that! Rudely
I say how about 2 beds…
She said yes do I have pets? I say no ,
Then I start to inquire more about different possible options and she interrupts me saying 109 plus tax, then I say I’ve got some questions, like, hot tub, suits or just any possibilities, but she doesn’t even listen to the questions and hangs up after gasping!!!
She needs to be fired!
Lost my respect and business!!! I’ll be sure to tell everybody In my dealership and everywhere else to stay away from this place after that
A quick stopover for gas and a bite to eat. They have a good steak and egg. Small little casino as well.
We stopped in for the special Thursday prime rib dinner. The waitress and hostess were funny, welcoming, and made checked in regularly. The downside is this casino is old and the cigarette smoke is not filtered out like newer casinos. I immediately got a headache.
The slot machines could use some updating. The food was mediocre but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It is a nice place to stop through while on the road.
Didn't stay at their hotel but the dealers at the tables where friendly and answered any questions we had and the bartender where amazing to my wife and her friend. Will definitely play here when we come through again
Great overnight rest stop for RV traveling! It’s quiet and convenient off I-80. The games were up-to-date and fun, and we had really good service from the casino attendants. Highly recommended!
Worst place that I have been too. Rita at the casino needs a reality check. Also room was not cleaned and had blood all over the sheets. Cigarette bud was also found in the bed. Do not recommend staying here. Management does not correct issues. Don’t come here!!!!!!!
A very cool blast from the past style hotel. While not as flashy as many, the sense of Nevada history in this place is authentic and palpable. While someone's review said it needed updating, I believe they struck a balance between historical and modern.||Rooms were comfortable, bedding good, tastefully decorated, surely no complaints there... Restaurant was a Great Value and the food was well prepared and cooked exactly as I asked.||Bar was well stocked and had several large screens. Wait staff hussled and I never wanted for anything. ||The only issue is that as far as I know they do not have an elevator. Please correct me if i am wrong. Being a historical hotel that might be an out for them, but if you are hauling a lot of luggage that may be an issue. ||Take some time to enjoy the historical photos that line the hallways that allow you a wonderful glimpse into an Era our parents or grandparents might have enjoyed. A time where this place was a Nevada landmark and a gathering place for folks from far and wide.||Don't look at the older style and trim as antiquated, but embrace it as a view into another time, where post war America was booming and opportunities were as limitless as the seemingly endless horizon. Dream a little about how the folks in those photos enjoyed a life and times with V8 engines and a convertible top down, of luxurious pullman cars on the railroad and relaxing by the pool in a one piece and marveling at all life had to offer.||If you want glitz and flash stay somewhere else. If you like value, good food and service, with a little dose of history, this IS your place.
