Good if you want to stay the night and leave. The pool is questionable at best, not very clean, and blue paint peeling off. Some shade at the trailer site which helped with the 100° temps. Store is convenient for small things. Town is close. My husband went to take a shower and said it smelled like sewage, so he opted out of that one. Overall, good if you're staying the night and not really using the amenities.
Stayed for one night in July 2024. It is basically a gravel parking lot. Pull-through sites are all "buddy sites" very close together, so close two RVs with pull-outs would probably be touching! Every two sites shares a picnic table that is very old and decrepit. The whole property is old, decrepit and not kept up. Weeds are everywhere. Trash litters the property. the dumpsters were overflowing on our visit. There is NO dog run, that is totally false. The strip of dead grass along a fenceline is littered with dog poo. And 3/4 of the property is full of full time residents, you can tell by the refrigerator size propane tanks at each trailer, more trash and junk cars. The office is sporadically closed, it was when we tried to check in. Bathrooms are dirty. Really, for $45 a night this is absolutely the worst campground we have ever stayed for that price range. It is unacceptable! Their website and photos are misleading and misrepresent the property. We of course will never revisit here again.
I went online and booked an RV site for our 28ft travel trailer and apparently did it for the wrong date. I emailed and then called immediately. They answered and made it work as they were FULLY booked. She was so helpful and eliminated any panic I had! We got into the long term stay area, not all numbered, but I would assume if we were long term that it would be taken care of a lot more easily as we arrived after hours and didn't get the full walk through!! No big deal! We were sad that we arrived at 740pm, got dressed and went to the pool to find out it was closed at 7pm though. Again, no big deal EXCEPT it was 92 degrees outside and takes a LONG time for the trailer to cool down if at all!! The hours are wrong on Google, the sign on the door says 11-7 everyday, I can barely remember now.
So all in all, good and easy stay, just think about having the pool open longer during REALLY hot days or summer for those of us traveling ALL day and want to check in after hours! :)
A no-frills stop in Winemucca for one night while traveling. We had spot 82, a good pull through and 50 amp for our 37 ft 5th wheel, no trees or shade, but clean gravel site. They had a sparkling blue pool that we did not swim in. We were within walking distance of the rodeo/fair grounds and an easy walk to a good Mexican restaurant. Easy on and off of Hwy 80.
Stayed two nights and were delighted. If you’re passing through and want an easy place to land, this is great. Didn’t use washrooms or pool (too cold) but appreciated a spotless laundry and waiting area. Winnemucca had resources and fuel. Staff at park were friendly, knowledgeable, and took extra pride in landscaping and providing lush grass and flowers to enjoy your coffee while sitting on a morning bench by the office. Reasonably priced, easy on/off. Definitely will be back.
We only came in for one short night after hours. Our stay was just fine and it was clearly lit and easy to get into our spot other than the fact that someone was parked in it. Which was fine. We just took another spot. All in all I think it was a good place to stay for the night.
Staff is super friendly and the park was clean. Pull thru sites made it perfect for a pit stop en-route to Idaho from California. We also found other campers friendly and helpful.
With AAA, the nightly rate was very affordable!
Not the worse place we stayed, but, denifitely not the best. Lots of permanent places that just need a little care to clean up weeds and "stuff ".
Easy location with level pull-through sites big enough to stay hooked up. Very quiet
Denifitely recommend for a convenoent, overnight stay.
