It has a pool and hot tub and access to a lovely dock on the bay. You will have to drive to ocean proper. It is less than a 5 minute drive. The restaurant next door was amazing; I do wish they were open for lunch. There is a golf course next door which I am sure makes many people happy.
Place is okay. Location is good - not too far from Misquamicut Beach. Rooms are a little dated and in need of a makeover. The pool is nice. My coffee table has more personality than the front desk person.
I liked that there was a balcony with chairs. Room was big. But the entire place needs a remodel. It probably was nice 20-30 years ago. Everything is old and off color. I couldn’t get used to the room smelling like dirty feet from the carpet or from the air conditioner.
Got a sore throat the first night so I checked the AC filters and they were filthy, covered in dust and black mildew. Room smelled like cat pee. And the wifi is abysmal, basically unusable. Don't count on it. They could probably spend less than $500 to massively improve it with a decent mesh wifi system if they cared.
Good location near the beach, which is the only reason to stay here
The rooms and property are clean and attractive. However I did not appreciate the brusque manner of the Management - both the desk clerk and the woman taking care of breakfast. The clerk didn't have to be rude to me when I only asked for the WiFi password.
Worst place ever. Upon check in front desk gentleman was very rude. At 1am kids running through halls and slamming doors so hard my door rattled. Called front desk but no answer and mailbox full. When checking out asked the front desk clerk if someone tends the desk overnight. He said someone was there, they were probably sleeping. When I told him of my experience he had nothing to say. So, I asked is that all you have to say - his response “yes”. -5 stars. Awful!!
The add described water views but did not have them. Otherwise it was a very nice good sized room, small fridge, pool and a resturant somewhat connected call I think Venice but we did not eat there, they also have a bar, golf, lots of places to go on the water near by.
Do not waste your money ! First off it says it is 16 miles from block island failing to tell you it's on the other side of the island and you need to take the ferry back from block island. The front desk clerk is rude and the advertised breakfast is a joke they leave some rotten front and lukewarm coffee that is not breakfast. !FALSE ADVERTISING RIP OFF SO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY.
