I went here while staying with my dad. They were polite and helpful. It was during Hurricane Helene and when they opened, they didn't complain about me bringing my service dog, even though he wasn't wearing his vest, it was too hot and no power at the house so I had been leaving it off of him and forgot to grab it before heading to get groceries.
This is the best grocery store in lake Park Georgia. Mostly because it's the only grocery store in lake Park Georgia but the food is good and fresh and the people are nice
I wanted to give a shout out to Miss Pam in the bakery!! Pam went above and beyond to make my girls smile. She not only gave them a cookie, she put pink icing and sprinkles on it for both of my girls!! That is what I'm talking about when it comes to customer service. Pam, thank you. My girls reaction warmed her heart. She definitely desserves some recognition!! Yes, I cleaned up our buggy.
The Management of this Store should be ashamed of themselves. This Store, a once well-run operation has fallen to pieces over the course of the last year…a few examples follow. One of its’ biggest shortcomings is the extraordinary low-quality of the produce department. The refrigerated portion of produce is frequently empty in 4 to 6 foot long portions, no inventory. Items oftentimes missing include lettuce, salad accompaniments, mushrooms, fresh beans, cucumbers and like items. Further down the produce refrigerator it is not uncommon to find broccoli and celery that are limp and frequently yellow. It is impossible to go to this Store and know if you can get fresh ingredients for a meal or salad. But it does not end here, the dry produce suffers from inventory issues; I can count times more than 20 times (yes I keep count) in the last 6 months when I’ve wanted items like tomatoes, baked potatoes, sweet or red onions, or attractive apples and oranges. Again, the Store is hit and miss for buying these products. I frequently have to stop at a nearby Dollar General to obtain the missing items (a SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS). Another problem rests with stock left on shelves that are past the “best if used by date.” These items include meats (ribs are common), fish, canned goods and condiments, bacon and sliced meats, and frequently cheeses and other dairy products (sour cream and cottage cheese are almost routine. Obviously I check the dates but it is clear not everyone does so they buy an inferior product.
Another problem lies with the failure to stock the shelves. As with the produce, one almost always sees areas where products are no longer available. Again, you cannot go to the Store and have confidence in getting items you may want. Examples include soups, condiments, laundry products, and meats. This is either an issue of inadequate Staff, poor inventory management or BOTH.
Finally, I have been nearly “dumbfounded “ when I’ve addressed these, and other issues (including lack of cleanliness) with Management personnel. They consistently deny these problems exist(I guess that is why they are not fixed). Seriously, I walked the Store Manager to the Produce Department and handed her a package of LIMP celery and asked if she thought it looked fresh. Her response, yes. Then I repeated with limp “yellowing “ broccoli. Again she said it looked fine. That is the last straw for me.
I’ve written with detailed comments to Aldi calling the Store an EMBARRASSMENT to ALDI. No response. I now use Kroger Delivery to my home and enjoy consistent product quality without the aggravation of a POORLY RUN WINN-DIXIE Store.
This is my favorite grocery store, it’s clean, great sales every week, always cashiers ready to checkout. They do have a self checkout, if you have just a couple items. Shop the ads and you will always save.
Since Aldi takeover; the vegetables are now the usual Aldi rotten wilted poorest quality around. And where's the Beef? No more Black Angus beef! THEY ARE NO LONGER THE BEEF PEOPLE, but they Are the Mexican beef people "Ranchers Choice Only". I'll only shop here in an emergency.
The store is always clean, shelves are always stocked, and the employees are wonderful. Great prices & sales
Went in this evening and purchased over $200 in groceries. My cashier was Brandon. Black shirt, flashy watch, and cross earring in left ear. This little dude was probably the rudest cashier I have ever dealt with at the High Springs store ever! I felt like I was just ruining his day by going through his line. When he started ringing my purchases up, you could see he didn't want to bag, and no one was coming, so I got everything on the belt and started bagging my own groceries. Once my purchases were through, bagged by me, and paid for, this rude little punk didn't even say thank you! He just handed me the receipt and moved on to the next customer. Wow...just wow...
