I just got discharged yesterday and I just had to come on here and say I had an amazing experience! From the moment I went in to the time I left, everyone was absolutely amazing, attentive, and so kind! Thank you to all my nurses and doctors who helped me and my family!❤️
WORST. HOSPITAL. EVER. Nurse at Winn fought with both me and my husband all day, refusing to send us a commanders approval memorandum. We called the surgeon at Eisenhower and put them both in a group call (winn & Eisenhower) to make them realize how ridiculous they sound giving us two polar opposite answers on the same subject. Just for Winn to finally realize they need to send the template that the other hospital has been asking for- as well as my husband and I- ALL DAY. for us to get approved for an emergent surgery that my husband desperately needs before his rotation. These people hate their jobs and have put us off for an entire year. They are impossible to reason with and every answer is “I don’t know” until you force them to do their jobs! Save yourself the headache. I hope no other service members have to go through this with these people. To reiterate, I had to PUT BOTH HOSPITALS IN A GROUP CALL FOR WINN TO REALIZE THAT MY HUSBAND AND I WERE RIGHT IN REQUESTING THE TEMPLATE FOR THE FORM!!! AFTER THEY DENIED US ALL DAY! filing a formal complaint against the two nurses who have subsequently put his surgery at risk of being denied due to their carelessness!
7 hour wait for a toddler with 107°F high fever. The nurse advise line told me to rush to the ER but they took 7 hours to see us. No type of urgency and no communication. The doctor seemed annoyed and nobody seems to be able to care for kids who are squirmy and irritated from lack of sleep after waiting 7 hrs in the lobby to be seen. The doctor was a little rude saying I must of read the thermometer wrong. I am 100% sure my daughter was in distress and she was just brushed off as a tired toddler. Do not recommend this ER. They do not care and provide terrible bedside manner and care
I had an amazing delivery!!! If you can get DR. Robinson, She not only asks what you want to respect your birth plan. She also gave me the best experience giving birth. She took her time and didn’t rush me to push my son out. She encouraged me and took all fears away about tearing. I had a bigger baby and no tears in sight!
Now the recovery nurse who came 30 mins after birth rushed me and I felt a little aggravated. But she kept coming back to check on me so I guess the after math was ok.
27 Jun ‘24 Optometry examination here was the absolute best I’ve ever experienced. They see active duty and retirees only. First Jesse did a few tests on my eyes, took about a half hour. Jesse was extremely friendly and professional. Then I waited an hour to see the optometrist and was getting a little perturbed. Then I found out Dr Smart was in with an active duty soldier who was being deployed to the desert. When I found that out it changed my entire attitude about the wait. Dr Smart spent a good hour testing my eyes and he did not get rushed. Very thorough. My only nitpick would be that he dilated my eyes but I was not given any glasses to help me see outside. Luckily it was cloudy that day and after sitting in my car for about an hour my sunshades turned out to be good enough to drive. The fact I was given no shades wasn’t the doctors fault because he told the girl at checkout to give them to me, it was the fault of the girl who checked me out. Also when I called to make appointment in the first place I was not told I’d need a driver. My glasses were ready for pickup after two weeks. Jesse and Dr Smart get 5 stars, the girl who made my appointment and the girl who checked me out get a big fat 0.
Hospital pharmacy takes entirely too long. I was in line for 2 1/2 hours. Checked in at 1130 am. Called to window at 1200 am. Never got called up for medicine pick up. Went to front desk and was informed I would be next. Waited 30 minutes more. Still not called went window to check on my prescription. Person at window said it had been ready for a long time but I wasn't called. I never left the waiting room until I had my medicine. Ever since they cha gerd systems and where you pick up, it has been a nightmare.
My husband took my 19 month old in for a fever and uncontrollable shaking/vomiting, they gave us Motrin when temp read 101, fever went to 105 and only gave Tylenol. Refused to do blood work, any covid/flu tests, wouldn’t even check for an ear infection. Was told to give fluids and rotate motrin/tylenol. I am absolutely disgusted with this ER and will never take myself or my children back.
If you go through the ER just know regardless of your situation. Your privacy and dignity will not be considered. And if you report it, you have to wait for them to go through a long process of "retraining" maybe some day before the soldiers/nurses leave to a new site, they'll be held accountable.
