The staff is friendly, but the wait times are long. Every time I visit, the intercom is down, making the wait time even longer. While the food is alright, I typically order the lemon pepper wings with a side salad and macaroni. However, the wings have been overcooked and hard to chew lately. On the other hand, the salad was delicious with no complaints. The macaroni was a bit too spicy and had too much seasoning. I might order from here again, but I'll be sure to request my chicken not be overcooked and less seasoning in my macaroni.
Not sure how this was our first time but this was a treat. The wings were crispy and flavorful! The Mac & Cheese, candied Yams, and collards were as there should be. Absolutely perfect! Seasoned to perfection! Someone was paying attention to their ancestors in the kitchen!! 5 stars for real!!!
Stopped through on my way home for Turkey BBQ and got consumed in this menu!!! Baby the yams was YAMMMIIINNNN!!! That Mac n cheese was MACCCCCCIIINNN (I’ll have to get an extra side next time)!! The Turkey BBQ tasted more like chopped chicken BBQ but it was delicious!!! The wings very good. Hot and fresh..
My suggestion is to add a little more portion to the plate. Pile them yams and greens on there especially that Mac n cheese!! This is a wonderful black own business if you’re looking for soul food in the Raleigh area and not a long line/ wait time!!
The food was great. I got 5 sweet and tangy wings with Mac and cheese and it was soooooo good. I’ll be eating here again. But only when I get paid because it is high !! I wish they were whole wings because that would make it more worth the price. But the chicken is still good
Excuse the plate. I took food from my boyfriend’s plate, so that’s why the food is all over the place. The wings, turkey bbq sandwich, and fries were delicious. My boyfriend had Mac and cheese and loved it. Customer service was also great! We will be returning very soon.
Food was good, did not take long to get the food, I was at work so that was a plus. I will definitely eat there again. ????
Just know I got 400 views on TikTok because I did a food review and the stuff turkey leg was so good, falling off the bone good. Go check out my video MzBrookins
Ordered turkey bbq combo bread soggy and wet, you could tell the fries had sat and was dropped back in the grease! Mac and cheese was salty and taste like pure garlic! My partner order wings that were small and dry and her fries were the same as mine! With no drink the order was 29.00 which would be fine if the food was good! Everything was nasty!!!
