THIS PLACE IS ALWAYS BUSY, I RECOMMEND YOU ORDER AHEAD.
First off, the food here is fantastic! The wings are good, I love the voodoo fries, and they have some really good corn… what wing place has corn? The food is 5 stars!
This location has had its fair share of issues with staffing. At times, they have been completely overwhelmed with customers. We don’t go here as often as we would like to because we’ve had to wait over an our after our food was supposed to be ready to get our order.
Yesterday was a good day! 4 people working and doing a pretty good job from what I could tell. We ordered our food online and we got there when it said it was going to be ready. Within 8 minutes of our pickup time we were walking out the door with our food. That was probably the best service experience I’ve had here.
Two things:
1. Knowing that service has been a point of struggle for this restaurant and yet they are always so freaking busy speaks volumes about what people are willing to endure for their great food!
2. We have seen this kitchen totally overwhelmed staffed with only 1 person and yet the people who work here seem to commit to serve their customers. They might not staff the counter and require you to place orders on your phone so they can focus on cooking, but they don’t give up. I’ve seen a lot of heart from the workers here over the years.
With the reasonable wait time yesterday, I am hoping their staffing problems are behind them but regardless, do yourself a favor and order ahead.
The place needs to be professionally cleaned. VERY caked on dirty. The wings BARELY had any sauce on them, we were told a certain length of time for pick up, we got there, and STILL had to wait another 30 minutes or so. Everyone who came in during this time was also waiting just as long or even longer. The wings tasted like the fryers needed a severe oil change and a severe deep professional cleaning. They were out of everything but wings. All my husband and I had ever heard was just how great the wings and fries were... We finally give this place a try, and it was just downright, NOT WORTH THE MONEY! 10/10 do not recommend to eat here. The service was absolutely just as disgusting as the place looked, smelled, and exactly how the food tasted. No apologies to anyone, attitudes, ignoring customers. The only female I saw working the night we had gone, just put the door dash food on the counter when the guy had his bag opened, ASKING for her help..she just walked away after she set it down, KNOWING the guy had asked for help. It was our first, and VERY last time ever going here.
I placed a $70 order at 8 am for pickup after they open at 1130 am. When I got there at 11:30 I learned from a sign on the door that they were not open until 4 pm. I went back on the app to confirm when my order was scheduled for, it was 11:30 am. I double checked the app again to see if I could replicate my order for a later time and it said online ordering was not available and they open at 4 pm. So in the time between me ordering and the pickup time, they turned off online ordering and changed the hours. I see from other reviews this is not the only time this has happened.
I called after 4 pm and spoke to a woman named Sarah who had a dismissive tone when I said I needed a refund for an order I placed in the morning. They were not apologetic either.
Honestly this place should be under different management or close altogether, even though I have always loved the food. This practice is unacceptable. I understand staffing is not completely controllable (if staffing is truly the issue), but if it's that big of a problem things need to change.
Food was good but the atmosphere was absolutely horrible, workers were obviously smoking weed in the back and all around are just lazy. I was the only order in at the front counter and I got a 25 minute wait for that order, which proceeded to people sitting in chairs and on the counter while only one person handled the order, just absolutely awful experience and will never be back.
Bought 10 wings and two strips. When I asked for ranch dressing, they says it wasn't included. What??? I spent more than a meal which came with ranch. I ended up paying a buck for ranch that should be included for this price. Restaurant not very organized. Also, a 4 or 5 year old, just guessing, was hanging out, completely unresponsive, on a bench in the lobby. Seems like child abuse. Perhaps waiting for a parent to pick her up?? Not sure I'll be back. Didn't take long to get my order on a Saturday at 11 a.m.
This place needs to close it's doors to be brutally honest. Haven't been there in a long while due to post experiences not being great. It's usually a long wait to get your food. I ordered online because they don't answer the phone for orders anymore and had 38-42 minute wait. I go there on time and sat for 18 more minutes waiting. Waiting with numerous other disappointed people and a bunch of flies flying around all over. The floors were so greasy and slick that you could skate with your shoes. They were out of soda, who runs out of soda??? My wings were laying in a 1/4" of grease as well, oh yum. This was the icing in the cake for me, never again will I be back and I encourage everyone reading this to do the same.
Went to Wing Stop at 3pm on a Wednesday. Dirty place. No greeting from staff and waited to order despite there being no one there. Staff was standing around talking. Fountain cups were broken and spilled. No carbonation in the soda machine. Several door dashers came in and waited quite awhile for the orders. Finally got my food after 25min despite being the first one to order. Wings were alright. Won't be going back.
I will never return to the Sioux Falls wingstop. When it first opened years ago I had horrible food/service. I figured several years later it must have improved to stay in business. I was quoted about an hour order time which was fine. As I pulled up to the restaurant my order changed to completed status. I found a lobby full of people but no employees in the front of the store. I waited an additional 45 minutes past the hour quote time. Any time the girl working the counter would come out she didn’t acknowledge the several people waiting to order, DoorDash drivers or helpless customers that had ordered online. After about 35 minutes I asked for an update. She walked away from me without a response. I yelled back into the kitchen to get another employee’s attention and he helped me. They still forgot my dips which I had to come back for. The cheese fries were ok. The rest of the food was cold. Why was I made to wait for so long just to get cold food? The delivery drivers all told me they try not to take orders from this location because this is standard practice here. Another customer worked at the Jimmy John’s next door and said a lot of people walk over to order after waiting to long for food.
