Since the old staff was fired 2 years ago wing stop has been trash. The cooks don’t know how to cook it’s never a manager here it’s always online orders only some of the staff is rude and some thinks it’s party time. It use to be a place I would eat from often. I don’t see how there still open. Not only is it mostly online order but it takes like a hour and a half with barely customers here for u even to get a small order and this is the Ames location by the way
A simple 8 piece to go. They were dead inside yet somehow I'm waiting 20 minutes. Two college chicks walk in order and have their food in 5 minutes. Yet I'm still waiting. Never got my food I just walked out I will never go back wingstop in Ames SUCKS!!!
Been to this wingstop a couple times and I will not be going back. Very slow service waited a half hour for two combo meals and not taken care of or clean. Food was cold when given to us they gave us the wrong order twice. Workers do not pick up and when I asked if the food was almost done they could care less, they also asked several people what they ordered and had to make again
The atmosphere lacked oxygen, was my first observation. The second thing is that my food took so long that I think they didn’t even get the order. The guys that worked there could barely pronounce my name, George! That is a big problem. On top of all that the music was loud too. It was so loud that you couldn’t even hear your own voice. The wait for us was about 40 minutes. The music wasn’t blurred too. The music was playing cuss words. Before we left we heard gunshot sounds from the speakers.
I have been at this location four times trying to give it a chance. This last time took the cake. I walked in, having previously ordered everything, the worker at the front was disrespectful, shouting about how he didn’t want to be there because he supposed to be off in ten minutes. He had his AirPods in, not in work attire, and when he took my name didn’t check for my order, just went back to complaining. I have no other complaints about the other workers.
Now to the food, our fries were cold, soggy, and unseasoned. The chicken sandwiches were burnt and soggy. And the two separate orders of wings were shoved into a big container and the sauces were mixed. The soda fountain is out of 15/29 drinks they have and the drinks they have are out of most flavors. Even the ranch was warm and gross.
The tables are a mess but the counter to pick up orders is clean.
Most of the employees are sweet like I said, but every experience I’ve had with this locations food has ruined it for me.
This was my first ever time trying a Wingstop. Safe to say it’ll be very difficult to ever bring myself to another. We get in and the man at the register talked at about a 10 decibel level. Once that was taken care of, we sat down at our table and found ketchup and ranch on it. I had to go over to the roll of paper towels (No napkin dispenser) in order to clean it up. We then waited approximately 20 minutes for our food which is fine, however if you’re going to have a sit down restaurant, at least make it somewhat enjoyable for the customer. They had two TVs both displaying old sports highlights on YouTube. Sadly that only lasted for about 10 minutes because the TVs then shut off. Along with the TVs, the music suddenly stopped playing during the middle of our meal. With all that said, the food was very good.
I almost never leave negative reviews, places are short staffed, mistakes happen, and people have bad days. But this was different.
Stopped in here about 4pm on a Friday. Multiple staff working but no customers yet and the place was filthy. Food left on tables like they just got done with a rush, but they didn’t. I bought a few meals and drinks, they made me buy a full drink for water. There are no forks in the restaurant to eat your boneless wings. Asked staff and they said “they are out of forks, they run out all the time.” No one cares here and it shows. Food was mediocre.
I waited for 25 minutes to get my food. There was a bunch of orders in the window that the workers weren't calling out. And people waited up to 30 minutes before going up to the window to ask because the workers didn't call out their order. One of the items in my order was a chicken sandwich that came out burnt. Me and some others had to wait awhile before someone even took our order. Some other things i noticed was most of the drinks in the machine weren't available and there was no forks or a trash can and the tables were dirty. Very disappointed it's called fast food and this definitely wasn't fast as some other places.
