Best WLM Reviews
This is one of the best small spots in Tucson. I have been a few times and have left happy and content. I love Asian cuisine and this is your chill neighborhood spot For booth rice and chicken. I mean what a combination. The wings are so flavorful and juicy. While the rice is light balanced and made with love. Not the greasy fried rice you’ll find other places. The sauce they top it with is chefs kiss. And 2 of us ate for $25 bucks. It’s hard to find that anywhere. It’s a smaller place limited seating a little tight but the space is right for the food. I highly recommend this place and will be visiting often.
Grabbed the 10 Wing Combo during an impromptu drive by. Appreciated you could split the ordering on wing flavor (Recommend sauce on the side). Ordered 5 Garlic Parmesan and 5 Cajon, I defaulted to the dry rubs. The combo comes with fried rice, which was cooked perfectly, not gummy or dried out & a soda. Customer service was solid with Chris at the helm. While granted it is a great little place to grab some decent wings, the one constructive criticism I would share – a deep cleaning would service the dining area well. Overall floors to include under / behind soda machines and overhead tiles / vents would benefit from a deep cleaning. Thanks Wings & Rice!
Wow. It’s good. Really good.
I ordered the “6 Wings Combo” which is served with a large order of Hibachi Fried Rice to which I added shrimp. The rice optionally comes with their special Japanese White Sauce. Definitely get that sauce as it is mildly spiced and totally delicious, but I recommend not immediately mixing it all up in the rice; leave it layered on top so you’ll be able to taste the hibachi rice on its own. The rice is fantastic with and without the sauce and you’ll want it both ways. For the wings, the cashier taking my order suggested the Spicy Orange and Lemon Pepper sauces, apparently two popular choices and both were great. (In the photo, Spicy Orange wings on left, Lemon Pepper wings on right.)
I caught a glance of the Teriyaki Chicken platter as it was served to another customer and it looked very appetizing. The Katsu will also be the target of a future visit.
The large order of rice is a good deal: the price is reasonable, and you’ll get two meals out of it.
Wings & Rice is a mom & pop’s local restaurant with an emphasis on quality. Everything is prepared when you place your order. The website and a sign on the door both remind customers that this isn’t a fast food joint. My order took about 15 minutes to come out but the wait was worth every second.
Update 2024-06-24: Went back for a second visit. Wanted another 6 Wings Combo, this time with Spicy Garlic and Spicy Teriyaki. Insanely delicious.
What a great experience my sister and I had today at Wings and Rice! It was our first time going, and the hospitality was spot on! Chris treated us like we were family and made us feel so welcomed and appreciated as customers. He was so knowledgeable about the menu and seemed to be genuinely thrilled about how amazing their food is and to serve it.
We ordered the chicken hibachi fried rice and also got to try the veggie stir fry (absolutely KILLER) as well as their signature orange wings. Everything was incredible and hot!
We will 100% be returning to one of our new favorite spots. Cant wait to bring our family here!
First time there. The place itself is just a chill little spot that you can enjoy. The food was great. I had the spicy orange and garlic parm wings. The garlic parm might be a bit salty for the more sensitive pallets. All wings were cooked great.
Big shoutout to Chris. He was awesome and professional. He brought out some fried rice and their sauce to make sure I liked it before getting my order.
Rice wasn’t mushy and make sure it get the special sauce. Portions were great and I can have some leftovers after I’m done with the food coma I have. Definitely go to this spot, imo.
Been coming here since I was a kid (6-7) I'm an adult now and still the way I remember it. They treat you like family, always attentive to the customer. the prices are great! For amazing quality of food and proportions.
Why did I wait so long to come here. Give this place 6 ????s. Wife & I dined in, got to try a few different flavors of wings and each one was slapping! That spicy Italian might be my favorite. The beef fried rice was so good we took an order to go. The service was top notch. Will be back and would recommend to everyone. Definitely gained some loyal customers today.
Love this local gem!!! From friendly service to amazing food, you can't go wrong when eating here. My favorite is the hibachi rice (with a gallon of the white sauce) with shrimp. So. Good. The wing flavors are tasty and are a great addition to the rice. Be sure to check out the daily specials to keep from busting your budget.
