Best WLM Reviews
The tenders and fries were delicious! I got the Cajun Voodoo sauce and it was nice and spicy. I had preordered for the food to arrive at 12 and it arrived closer to 12:30 and that is why I’ll give 4 stars out of 5. The tracking is not very good and the number I was given for the driver was invalid. It would also be helpful to know the make/model of the vehicle they’re driving. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the food!
Crazy how things can change in a few years. I used to love this place, especially because I used to work here, so I always had the food each day that I worked and was never tired of it. It genuinely hurts to have to review this place lowly.
I ordered food for pickup. The man on the phone sounded pretty rude and impatient. For what reason, idk since the place wasn't even busy when I came to pick up since the drivers or cooks were outside the building hanging out. He didn't even seem to know the menu that well since he took a while to get down what I wanted to order. You would expect them to ask what drink you want with your meal instead of asking 'what else'? I'm normally not a sauce person, but wouldn't other people have wanted ketchup or something with their tots. He didn't even ask about that.
When I went inside, the man at the front basically ignored me for a few seconds while on his phone. Yes, I know there's ordering tablets, but they don't do pickups). When I was there, the rule was that when a customer came in, you had to put your phone away, but otherwise it was fine to use it. Guess that changed too. A different person handed me my order while the man processed my payment. We'll guess they didn't even look at what I ordered because they didn't even give me my drink. It wasn't even worth it to drive back or call back for compensation since I rarely came around here. They were not worth the $2 tip I gave them (I used to work the front so I know how nice it feels to get a tip, but they didn't deserve it). The only nice thing I can say is that the employees outside the building opened the door for me ????
Honestly I still prefer the old food quality more, but maybe my memory just makes it feel like it tasted a lot better.
On an alternate note, I miss the waffle fries and crinkle fries.
Each and every time that I have ordered from Wings Over in Chapel Hill I have been pleasantly surprised at how amazing and delightful the food was. Great portions. Super fresh. Not too long of a wait. Everything is impeccable. No complaints.
Grab those Hot Honey Tenders with the fries and thank me later.
I put the wrong review for Wings Over, so here’s my real one: I love Wings Over! I used to live in the Boston area and frequently enjoyed their wings there. Their sauce is fantastic. When I moved to North Carolina, I was disappointed to find the closest location was an hour and a half away, but I was more than willing to make the drive for that sauce. Unfortunately, the chicken itself isn’t great without the sauce. I personally think it could use more seasoning—not just at this location, but at the other two I’ve tried in Massachusetts as well. Will I get it again? Absolutely!
I had the worst experience ever with all the germs that's is going around in society today. With the covid the flu and everything why did you guys have a girl that was sick. The lights skinned woman female .She was coughing and I had the audacity to try to hand me my bad after she coughed in her hand. I will never ever return to you guys restaurant I was just bethel to see someone sick working at a restaurant.. Is this how you guys work now having sick people come to your job handing out bags of food and at work with all these germs going around.. Im truly beside myself..#practicegoodhygieneplease
Awesome huge tenders and fries. Sauces were amazing. Fries crispy and well seasoned. Cant wait to get back there.
Only downside was the lone worker at midnight. Poor guy was doing it all but doing it well.
We ordered Wings Over during our stay at the UNCH hospital. We ordered online they called to make sure what we ordered was correct which I appreciated. The food was really good I would have loved to have it super fresh. The fries had lost their crunch but we all know how fresh fries inside of a container gets a tad soggy. But I’m definitely making a trip to try this fresh and hot because it will be worth the 1hr drive! We had 2 chicken sandwiches they had multiple flavors to choose from we chose hot garlic which was like a buffalo sauce that covered the chicken breast and garlic herb chicken breast with bacon which was a rub. Both was delicious ???? can’t wait to try this out again they also have a variety of wings and we also had some cheese sauce!
I don’t order from here very often but I absolutely love the honey mustard sauce they have for their wings. I had a serious craving for them so we decided on wings for dinner. Food was delivered on time and the delivery driver was great and followed instructions. I opened up my tray excited for my food and was quickly disappointed. There was hardly any sauce at all on my tenders (for a minute I thought they got my order wrong)! Biting into the tenders was like biting into rubber. The chicken was overcooked and dry to the point I needed to sip my drink with each bite so as to not choke. I’m chalking this up as a one off but one thing I’ve noticed over the last year or so is there’s less and less sauce getting put on their wings which has led me to take my business elsewhere for the most part when it comes to getting wings to eat. But nothing does beat their honey mustard sauce! When they actually put it on their chicken….
