Best WLM Reviews
Wings n’ Things is a fantastic spot for anyone craving delicious southern-style wings and sides. We ordered the honey barbecue wings, spicy barbecue wings, Spanish rice, collard greens, coleslaw, and cornbread, and every item was a hit.
The honey barbecue wings were incredibly tangy with a sweet honey barbecue sauce that was just perfect. The spicy barbecue wings stood out with their good char flavor, tender meat, and a tangy sauce that wasn’t too spicy – definitely the better of the two, almost like buffalo wings.
The Spanish rice was well-cooked and seasoned perfectly, making it a delightful side dish. The collard greens tasted fresh and green, boiled or steamed with just the right amount of seasoning. The coleslaw had a medium tang and a fair crunch, with a mayonnaise dressing that was heavy but still enjoyable.
The star of the show, surprisingly, was the cornbread. Advertised as a must-try, it did not disappoint. It was crumbly, slightly sweet, and had a sticky, cakey texture that was delightful. The corn flavor was prominent, and it paired perfectly with the wings, even better than the Spanish rice. The cornbread was served hot, adding to the overall experience.
The restaurant was bustling with activity, both for takeout and drive-through, indicating its popularity among the locals. Despite being busy, the food arrived quickly, which was impressive.
Overall, Wings n’ Things clearly puts effort into their food, unlike many other chicken wing places. I highly recommend this place for its delicious food, quick service, and the evident care they put into every dish.
The food comes out hot and crispy very fresh, I tried the barbecue I was not impressed at ALL, the fries was good if you don’t ask for ketchup they don’t give it to you ????????♀️
I ordered the new special: 8 wings + 4 corn bread for $13.99, and I added the regular mac & cheese for $3.49. Soooo.... the food is nothing special. The fry chicken was crispy but bland. The mac and cheese was like kraft mac & cheese (bland). And the cornbread was ok.
The establishment was clean and had seating indoors.
I've been coming here since they opened in the early 1990s. The wings used to be exceptional. They no longer are. The service was just passable. The atmosphere kept the old look. The day before we went, the drive thru line was around the corner and almost out the parking lot. The day we went, it was empty and there were a lot of places to sit. But to those who know the original Wings n Things. It no longer is what it was.
Got the 10pc $15 leg + thighs special, $16.28 in total. That red sauce they have is soo good on the chicken and it was juicy, crispy, well seasoned. They should give bigger pieces, though, and include cornbread or biscuit on that special.
Man, the food wasn't good. Everything changed since the last time we came here. They don't change their grease, and you can taste that in your food. The okra was too brown and overcooked. It tasted like old grease. The chicken was ok, but not great either because of the grease. The cornbread had uncooked grains of cornmeal, it was like chewing on sand. It fell apart into crumbs, so maybe they were low on eggs. The chicken gizzards were ok, but again, the grease is too old. What happened to the greens? Why is there no flavor like the last time we were there? C'mon now, teach these kids how to cook.
This place has top notch customer service. From the moment you walked in, you're being greeted by a very hospitable crew member ready to take your order. The cashier was very patient and repeats what you ordered to avoid any miscommunication. To the end, The bagging person hands you your food, gives you a smile, and says "enjoy your meal". This treatment is rare as not many places does this anymore; especially for a fast food restaurant.
Very delicious food and great prices. The fried chicken was not salty or oily like Popeyes and KFC. I had the special 10 pieces leg and thighs for $13.99. I requested all thighs and they were very accommodating. They also have mini pies which is very good for only $2.99 each. I ordered the pecan, coconut, and peach cobbler. The sides I ordered was fried okra, sweet plantains, and green beans. You don't have the option to get sweet plantains and fried okra at other places which was nice and unique.
They offer drive thru and the parking lot is small but worth it to wait for an open spot. I will return in the future because of the great prices, delicious food, and friendly staffs.
If you're looking for a quick bite and not really sure what to get, then this is your spot. With a wide variety of wings, rib, chicken and shrimp combos. You're guaranteed to feed your munchies. The food is ok fast food but eat it hot. It doesn't really carry well.
