Ok guys! Second time giving this place a try and it my second time being disappointed! For what they are charging for a chicken dinner you’d expect good chicken maybe! Chicken strips cooked in fish grease and I’m not even gona speak on the wings ????????♀️.
I had the fried fish, loved it I’ll definitely be back! Also got boneless wings, they were good too. The young lady at the front was nice and very helpful since it was my first time.
Food was delicious! First time ordering, called ahead and the guy that took my order offered great customer service. I ordered 12piece bone-in chicken (half Buffalo half Golden BBQ) with a side of corn nuggets and a side of sweet potato fries w/caramel/marshmallow sauce. Went to pick it up, cashier was nice and personable. Definitely going back! ????
Firstly, I’m much overdue giving this restaurant the credit they’re most definitely deserving of. The cook whom I believe also runs the restaurant takes a lot of pride in his cooking/food. I’ve NEVER had a bad experience and I’ve been coming for almost a couple years now. I brag on this specific location all the time. If you never been, you’re certainly missing out.
Sam was very informative and extremely kind. The north KC location didn’t have the sauce I normally get and Sam made sure I found a new sauce that I would like. As someone who is in the hospitality field- I am able to recognize someone with genuine empathy.

I visited Wings Café based on Yelp and Google reviews and I am not disappointed.
When I arrived I was greeted by an employee behind the register. He was busy doing something but let me know he'd be right with me. I was not in a rush to order since I was still reading the menu (the menu is posted on large chalk boards high behind the counter). I am a bit tall (5'11"), a tad bit blind, and I found that a bit hard to read so I took pictures and viewed the menu that way. I did not notice if there were actual paper menus available.
By the time I was ready, the male employee had gone back into what I assume is the kitchen and a female employee was now out front prepared to take my order. I confirmed with her that I would be able to split my 18-piece, Wings only order into both dry rub and wet sauce and she verified yes. So that's what I ordered - 18 pieces, Wings only, and a soft of fried Okra. I love spicy so I had kickin chicken and cajun (both dry rub) and cajun Buffalo (wet rub).
Expectedly, it took a few minutes for my them to prepare my order. While I was waiting, I observed the indoor seating - spacious. No one was dining at the time. It was still early in the day; I think they had recently opened too. I also walked around outside and checked out the outside seating area. I liked the outside seating. The ground is lined with faux grass and plants create a barrier from the sidewalk. It gives it a real outdoor, summery vibe.
I was expecting to have to go back inside to retrieve my order but the female employee who took my order walked it out to me. It smelled heavenly! Score!
When I got to the car I peeped inside the bag and noticed these huge pieces of wings. Score! When I got back and opened it up, I noticed a large amount of hot, fresh crispy Okra. Score again!!
All that was left is for the actual taste...Whoa!! Ahhhmazing!
If you read my review from a few days ago you'd know I did not have a good "wings" experience, at all!! This, on the other had, is drastically better. Highly recommend!!
The best kept Wing secret in KC. This location is so clean with the friendliest staff. My food is always fresh and never disappoints! Try the lemon pepper wings or the hot Buffalo, as you can… I couldn’t decide! The corn nuggets are delicious and perfect if you enjoy a sweet and salty combination like me!
Friend recommended and I was excited about going….drove 25 miles. First problem is the few tables were dirty, no prob, maybe so busy they don’t have time to clean. Order at counter, and told wings will be 25 min or so…..I order strips. Get my self serve soda and the machine is out all flavors. Food takes 15 min and comes with our cheese sticks that were an appetizer. The chicken strips were COLD? I can only guess they had been fried earlier and they just throw them in the sauce. What a great disappointment. The fried okra and jalapeño poppers were enjoyed by the family, but it’s a wing place so…..
