Front desk was extremely kind and helpful each time. My family and I went downstairs. Our room was clean and quiet at the end of the hall. it was a really nice stay for my family of four. And the kids loved that they could get breakfast!!
My partner and I had a fantastic experience at the Wingate by Wyndham in San Marcos, Texas. After a long day of travel to see family, we had a disappointing experience at our original hotel, which was completely unacceptable due to mold and a musty smell. Desperate for a clean and comfortable place to stay, we quickly booked at Wingate. We were initially stressed because the online rate had changed by the time we arrived. However, the front desk clerk and the manager were very helpful, kind, and understanding, making us feel truly welcome. The clerk adjusted the rate for us, honoring our Wyndham member status, and turned the whole situation around.
The room was clean, comfortable, and far better quality than where we initially booked. This team transformed what could have been a stressful evening into a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for exceptional service and a comfortable room. Thank you to the amazing staff at Wingate!
Beds are comfortable. Plenty of room! Staff was great, breakfast was good. Would have given 5 stars, but the room smelled funny. Like there was a previous water damage and there is mildew somewhere.
We had a good stay. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. There is some construction around the hotel and it was difficult to get to the parking lot at night. A lot of items available for breakfast but I would have liked to see healthier items like oatmeal or fruit. The employees we encountered were welcoming and nice. This hotel was a good value and I would stay here again.
I accidentally booked the wrong date, and ended up with 2 rooms. Elizabeth at the front desk helped me bypass expedia’s “no refunds” by revealing to me a cool strategy, so for her dedication to helping me out I have to leave a 5 star review! The rooms are so nice, the coffee fresh, and the staff on your side here!
Old and run down, and not clean. Bed was ok not great. At least the linens seemed fresh. It’s fine for a hotel to be old, but it’s not fine to be not clean. Cobwebs on the ceiling, musty smell from the AC that probably has never had a filter replaced, dirty curtains and windows.

Has no room service but you can get any amount of towels bedding and bags to help your stay be comfortable. They do clean the rooms after their stay I seen them cleaning lol. Right off of freeway so it was convient has construction but just use the back street to get where you need had no issues for us.
Stayed in room 210 did have a panel under the sink that needed to be put back on but over all it was great. Beds are average nothing amazing definitely do able. I recommend this hotel for a family to also stay we will be back I felt safe with my kids and I being there even sitting in the diner area to eat my bought dinner. Breakfast has hot and other cold items the waffle maker works great! Definitely recommend! Had a flat and the front desk employee tried to help us find someone to call. Shower head was kind of weak. But Ober all it was great but definitely not for that price when I have to retrieve everything I need my self from down stairs.
Hotel is in a great location, close to river and many restaurants. Check in is very easy and you may also do many pre-check when text is send to phone.
The rooms are okay, we stayed in King size bed on 2nd floor.
Quiet, but obvious that room is use by many river outgoers since it smelled closed up and until the last night I noticed what I thought were curtain stains to be mold, little but mold.
Outdated lamps, sofa, bed etc. but good enough for 1-2 night stay.
There was a nice size fridge and microwave, very much appreciated. Toiletries, Dove soap,shampoo and conditioner.
