I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel! It was clean and fresh. The hotel room had not only a refrigerator but a microwave which was handy. There is a customer appreciation activity Monday through Thursday from 5 to 7 PM where complimentary refreshments (alcoholic snd soft drink) and snacks are served. There is coffee available 24 hours a day and a plentiful hot breakfast each morning. We will definitely be back and recommending this hotel.
We made a girls trip and booked 2 rooms here. We didn’t get to Wilmington till after 11 pm and we really liked that they keep the front doors locked. It makes it feel a lot safer. The staff were friendly and the rooms were super comfortable. The softest bed and pillows. The bathroom is stocked with Dove products, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Our room had mini fridge and complimentary coffee. They offer complimentary breakfast and it’s really stocked with almost everything you may want to eat.
If we are ever visiting Wilmington we will most definitely stay here.
Very nice place! Very comfortable, well stocked with coffee, Dove products (not the tiny travel ones, full sized!) linens and paper products. The staff from front desk to cleaning and maintenance were so helpful and professional and breakfast was great! Anything you could want! Wilmington was great and the only issue we had was getting in and out as the street only allows for right turns and you have to make a U-turn down the road to get left. It would also be nice if they allowed pets or had a hot tub. Im not complaining, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place to anyone.
The hotel is conveniently located in the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very nice but it would have been nicer to have nightstands on both sides of the bed so that two people can be in bed reading before they go to sleep. There is more than enough room for a nightstand on each side of the bed.
Positive: Not overly impressed. Breakfast was mediocre at best... and that's being generous. Negative: Breakfast was dissappointing. Overall experience was much closer to a 7 than a 9. If breakfast is included, at least try to make it decent. A decent breakfast would raise my review to an 8 or 8.5.
We were just in town overnight. This is a nice enough hotel. The four stars is because I'm not fond of carpet of any kind in hotels anymore. It ALWAYS feels damp and dirty to me and this room was no exception. Hotels need to put in LVP (I know tile is too expensive) when they remodel these days. The bed was quite comfortable and both my husband and I slept quite well. The water pressure in the shower was great. The complementary breakfast was just ok. The staff was very quick to respond, via text, when I asked a question on numerous occasions, and they were friendly upon check-in.
Very clean, safe and comfortable!! Great location. The staff were all very professional and courteous. Would definitely recommend and would come back to stay in the future. I have never stayed at this chain previously, but would definitely do so in the future.
On a road trip across from the UK, Hurricane Helene truncated our journey down the Blue Ridge Parkway, so we cut across to the Atlantic coast. Hitting Wilmington, we selected Wingate by Wyndham for little more reason than its proximity to the end of Interstate 40. It was not a chain we had tried before, but it is certainly one we will be using again. It ticked all the boxes - excellent value, free parking, spotlessly clean and very comfortable rooms, good breakfast etc. Plus air conditioning that was effective without being noisily intrusive. And the front desk staff were so very friendly and helpful - couldn’t be better.
To finish, a quick recommendation for the marvellous Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar, just across the road. Superb fresh seafood.
