Best WLM Reviews

I can't say enough about this place. After traveling 20 hours for two days with my 4 year old daughter and service dog, this place was like coming home. The rooms are super clean, comfortable, and new. The building and staff are welcoming and super nice. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever seen for a Wingate. The absolute best part is the price. You can't beat it any way you look at it. Thank you for the much needed recharge my for my family.
I suggest staying elsewhere. I was on a road trip and picked this hotel due to convenience to the highway. I wish I had kept driving. After booking and paying for the room online, I was surprised to be asked for a $100 deposit for incidentals at check in. Three days after check out I called to ask when my deposit would be returned, and was told 5 days. It is now hitting day 8 with still no return of my deposit. I was on a week long road trip and this is the ONLY hotel that I was a.) asked for more than a credit card number for incidentals b.) had any trouble with their billing process. At check in the night clerk seemed to have an bad attitude, like she didn't want to be at work, but it was late so I decided to shrug it off. The room was only surface level clean, again it was late, so I just pulled the nasty cover off the foot of the bed and called it a night. The next morning, we were leaving the table area of the lobby as the clock hit the designated end of their breakfast service, and the front clerk flicked the lights off as soon as she saw us stand up. It was like she was in a race to keep anyone else from thinking about using that part of the lobby. (The food was already mostly gone, so it wasn't like that was necessary.) Between the financial shiftiness, poor staff manners, and groady base boards I was left feeling like I stayed in a fleabag motel. This was my first stay at a Wyndham property, and I will book elsewhere next time.
When I checked into my room I could tell it hadn’t really been cleaned and it smelled terrible, the bathroom smelled even worse. I was only staying one night so I decided to just make the best of it. The next morning I wake up and realize I’ve been charged an additional $144 on top of the $200 I’ve already paid for the room and $100 deposit. I stopped by the front desk as I am leaving to find out why and the lady at the front desk she is rude to begin with and can’t explain why she charged my card then I show her on my bank account and all the charges and she literally denies that the charges happen and on top of that she accused me of smoking in my room because the smoke alarm was going off in the room next to me and I do not even smoke. So as of right now I have paid right at $500 dollars for a room that isn’t worth $60, called a liar regardless of my bank statements then accused of smoking even though I am not a smoking to begin with and setting off a smoke alarm in a room that was not even mine. I asked for a corporate number or to speak with someone above her and she tells me I can figure it out online. Overall the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel.
This was one of the cleanest hotels I've ever been in The staff was great, friendly and helpful Breakfast had a little bit of everything and good Will definitely stay here if back in the area!! The only con I had, the tables or eating area was not being kept wiped off after people getting up or messes being made!
During my first-ever business trip to Mississippi, I encountered a highly distressing and unacceptable situation. As a frequent traveler, visiting 28 different states for over 300 days each year, I have always prioritized staying in safe and comfortable accommodations. Unfortunately, during my stay at a hotel in Mississippi, I was awakened in the middle of the night by bedbugs biting me on my face, back, and arms.
The experience left me feeling disgusted and uncomfortable, and I had no choice but to leave the hotel immediately. I have never experienced anything like this before. The hotel management's response to my complaint was unsatisfactory, and they failed to take any significant action to address the issue.
Considering my experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is essential to ensure that the hotels we stay in are hygienic and safe, and this hotel fell short of my expectations.
This made my second stay with Wingate in Tupelo. This stay was just was good as the first. The rooms have been very clean both visits. The mattress has been very good in both rooms I've slept in. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast was also great.
Always thankful to stay in a great place when it can't be home. I highly recommend.
While the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable, there was no shampoo or body soap available for showers. The hallway smelled really bad like sewer and musty carpet .this was not a pleasant way to enter the room at the end of a long day of driving, and it almost ruined our appetite for diner when we left to go out to eat. Breakfast was ok. Nothing to brag about. There was a shared bottle of syrup instead of individual prepackaged syrup containers and no whipped cream for the waffles. Loved the coffee creamer selections for the coffee. Eggs and sausage were barely warm.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and nice. Overall great place for the price. We stopped on our trip to Florida and liked the hotel well enough to stop at the same one on our way home.
