Just a quick weekend trip.. we wanted something clean and comfortable. This place was it! It’s a little dated so if you’re looking for something flashy, this isn’t it. If cleanliness and comfy beds is what you’re looking for then I recommend this place. The breakfast was a little disappointing… they do have those great waffles u make yourself, and bagels to toast.. muffins, fruit, little boxes of cereal and milk, coffee and juice, but they also had frozen sausage biscuits and frozen egg patties? These were not so great heated up. No other breakfast protein to choose from. Despite that tho, we had a decent time and enjoyed our little weekend! Would stay again!
Stayed here for a wedding this hotel was convenient to the location of the wedding. The staff is very nice! The breakfast it’s not to bad. I will say I have a friend who stayed here also and their experience hasn’t been as good as mine. I will only speak from my experience. This place isn’t to bad if your staying for a night or two.
Needed a night’s stay last minute, this location was extremely convenient! Upon entering the room, it had smelled like someone tried to cover up a bad odor. The couch seemed to have either a couple stains or a burn marks of some sort. I had flipped a pillow over on my bed and it had been covered in some sort of dust? Like someone dragged a dirty vacuum over it. No problem, Walmart is a 4 minute drive away, so I got pillowcases and a blanket to sleep on and under. I decided to take a shower, as I was unfolding the neatly folded towels when I finished my shower.. there was a giant hairball folded up in the center.. looked at the other towel, there was hair on that one too. They definitely didn’t care to clean under anything, as there were spiders and webs under the bathroom cabinets and a spider was watching me take a shower above me as I later realized. Wouldn’t stay here again, the staff seemed lovely, just not a clean place.
Workers were very kind. Not always at desk, but definitely didn't need to wait too long for assistance. Room was very clean (even in the corners of the room). Prime location; not too far from convenient stores, and only approx. 15 min from Oak Island beach. Definitely will be returning here to stay on my next trip to the NC coast.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, however, the facilities are in desperate need is renovation. The rooms and amenities did not feel clean or fresh. There also were no wash clothes in the room and when I called to request some I was told they did not have any at the moment.
Location is great , but hotel is nasty. Mold is everywhere. Bathroom was dirty and shower curtain was cover with mold. Smell in the room was very unpleasant . Front desk personnel - always missing. 10-15 minutes waiting for them is normal. Breakfast area dirty and no service person to be found.
Hotel is in a nice location close to downtown South Port and not far from the beach. Breakfast was pretty good. Loved the waffles. Overall cleanliness of room was good and housekeeping did a good job. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Shampoo and conditioner offered in the shower is great and very convenient. Two negatives for me, the pool closed at 9:00pm on the weekend. It’s still daylight at 9:00pm in the summer. We would have preferred it stay open until 10:00pm. The main negative was that no exhaust was provided in the restroom in our room. Smells, hot and steamed mirror after showering was aggravating. The sign on the restroom door attempting to explain the central exhaust falls short when no exhaust is present. I’m an Operations Manager for commercial buildings and the exhaust is simply not operating and needs replacing or repairing.
Room nice and comfortable. Most staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. There were two ladies who done a great job of keeping up with it the others had to be asked to get more food. Selection of breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay overall.
