Friends and I have booked a room here for an event in town. They booked their room through a third party site while I booked the room directly through the Wingate website. After a long day of travel, we finally arrived to our hotel hoping to check in and relax for a little bit before attending our event that night. To our surprise, there was construction being done everywhere when we arrived. There were piles of debris everywhere, workers actively tearing out flooring and carpet, boxes of supplies, etc. it was definitely unexpected and we were a bit shocked by the scene. Even after seeing all this we attempted to go inside where one of the construction workers simply let us in. No one was at the front desk (Even then, it was being worked on by the construction workers). There were no signs with information about checking in or even information on what is going on with this particular location. We looked around for a bit at the active construction site and was shocked that they even let us in because there was so many safety hazards that could have caused us harm.
Afterwards my friend tried calling their front desk phone number and no one picked up. I then tried and left the phone ringing for about 15 minutes before hanging up calling Wyndham customer service line. The person who picked up attempted to call the hotel as well but could not get a hold of anyone. They then transferred me to another customer service line and that person also attempted to call with no resolve. The customer service employee then told me that they would put in a case for me so that their specialty department can investigate the situation and get back to me. I asked them what we were supposed to do at that time because we needed a hotel in order to get ready for our event. They simply told me that I just needed to book at a different hotel. This did not resolve our issue.
In the end, we couldn't get anywhere with their staff or get a hold of anyone, we ended up walking to one of the nearby hotels and booking a room there instead. Unfortunately, this caused us to spend more money than expected since we had to do a walk-in, same day, booking rate at this other hotel. This wasted a lot of our time and our money and even caused us to miss our event that night due to having to find other accommodations.
Since then, I have been trying to speak with the Wyndham staff to try to resolve this matter but no one has responded. In addition to that, just checked the hotel's website and it looks like people are still able to make reservations even though there is no hotel there.
Overall if I could give them zero stars I would. This was a horrible experience.
I stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderful! The rooms were clean and looked very nice. Everything worked as it should. It was mostly quiet at night, the beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows! The people working there were all so kind and helpful, especially the front desk Nick and housekeeping. The location is close to everything you could need and quite a few places to go for fun! I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
I got this room thinking for 100$ a night And a200 $ deposit I'd have a nice experience. Absolutely not. The whole bottom floor is COVERED in black mold . My throat swelled over night. They have nothing covered up or taped off with caution tape. They start early with banging on things (7am) and the TV didn't work the entire stay . But the one in the main office works. Weird right? The hallways smell weird and the rooms don't get colder than 68. (There was 4 people in the room so we were HOT ) . I can say if you don't mind splurging 300$ for a mold infested stay, and entertaining yourself , this is the hotel for you. First time in richardson and it'll probably be my last ! Absolutely hated the stay. The staff were very very helpful . Very polite, but didn't inform me they have 0 entertainment and black mold in the air and complete first floor.
I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, offering great value for money. The front desk staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating, enhancing the overall experience. The breakfast served was excellent, with a variety of fresh and tasty options. Highly recommended for a pleasant stay with superb service and a hearty start to the day.

The room is clean which is the most important thing, we never encountered anything particularly gross. However there was no hot water (I took a freezing cold
Shower) and the toilet clogged after the first use. No signal on the tv so it acted solely as decor. And constant thumping and knocking in the morning. Staff was okay, but I feel like a working toilet and hot water is the bare minimum. Also when we first entered the room staff left dirty sheets on the tv stand. Guess they were in a rush to clean the room.
It’s actually really good. They are renovating but it’s not bad. I got upgraded which was so nice. The room is so clean. No bad smells. I will say if you want hangers and there is no shelf in the shower. you need to bring your own hangers that’s the downside plus the no shower shelf. But other than that it is really nice and cozy. The gentleman at the front desk was so helpful and engaging in conversation, it wasn’t an awkward conversation and it was a quick process. And he had great conversation that was non-repetitive with every person, so that was also really nice.
