I enjoyed my stay at Wingate. The great reviews were right on par. It is an older building, but overall, it is clean and well-maintained. Convenient location- close to the highway and Starbucks was right across the street. The staff were very kind, friendly, and accommodating. Breakfast opened early and had a nice selection. The jacuzzi was very enjoyable and hot. The room was spacious and quiet with great shower pressure that you often don't find in older hotels. I would definitely stay here again if I spend any more time in Pueblo in the future.
This was our first stay in a Wingate by Wyndham hotel. We were quite impressed. The property is not new, but is well maintained and clean throughout.|We had a standard king room and it was spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and made up with good quality linens. The bathroom was quite spacious. The tub was a small, but the shower had good strong pressure.|Breakfast was nothing special, but adequate.|All the staff were nice. The lady in the breakfast area was specially kind and attentive.|The pool was good and a reasonable size for lap swimming.|We would stay here again.
The beds were made nice and tight with the most comfortable fluffy pillows imaginable. Bathroom was cleaned to perfection and did NOT have a mildew odor. Room was very refreshing and welcoming. Parking was plentiful; however, you should add a few more handicapped spaces and remind guests to display their handicapped placards at all times.
Check in was great the gal at the front desk was very friendly. Rooms were clean a little out dated but fine.
In the morning we went to check out early to get our cash deposit back the man at the desk was very very unfriendly. Made us feel unwelcome. We were able to make coffee as the breakfast buffet wasn't open yet. When we thought we could take some fruit and a Danish he was irate. We didn't think we were such an inconvenience for something so simple. It will be hard to stay at a place like that with a jerk working there. Sorry we ruined his day!!!!
Very nice staff & the breakfast was yummy & that hot tube was really warm I love it. The indoor pool was really nice too. It's a really nice n cheap hotel I would recommend that to anybody. ||I'm ready for my next trip to pueblo so I can get me a room at the same facility.
Upon walking in to our room, there were cigarette ashes on the bed sheets. My kids were finding make up containers, acrylic nails, and dog toys, all over the room. The bathroom had hair in the sink. The room had a little bit of a stinky smell, so we had to let it air out the following day. The breakfast was great, but a little dissapointed that all of the seating area was taken up by a basketball team (maybe accomodate the team in the conference room if available). The location of the hotel was great! Near a lot of stores and restaurants, and close to the highway which was great. The night we checked in- staff member was super nice and helpful!
Old guy that Surgery at 5am show up. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Handy cap shower with chair that made easy to get in and out. Will stay there again if I need a room.
Hotel itself is on par with Holiday Inn express offering nearly identical amenities. Nothing in that area to set them apart, but still good.
However, the staff were great and more welcoming than other hotels on our trip. I believe it was Mathew that checked us in and had excellent people skills that we no longer see often. The rest of our stay the staff were alert and gave pleasant greetings that not only made us feel welcomed, but that they also notice who enters, making it feel safer.
