We really enjoyed our stay at the Wingate. It was so nice that we literally didn’t want to leave! The room was nice and spacious, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom sink was beautiful. The hot tub was very enjoyable and relaxing. We got a room right above the pool but that was okay. We couldn’t hear anything unless we went into the bathroom and even then it was very muffled so we could hardly hear anything. My only complaints are the towels. They only gave us two towels one per-person. We weren’t able to shower because we couldn’t find house keeping and we didn’t want to use the same towels that we whipped chlorine off our bodies with to dry our clean bodies with. We went swimming and didn’t notice them until we got back to our room. Also the internet didn’t work it was extremely slow. Other than that it was a great stay and we will be staying again! DON'T STAY HERE! Toilet has been stopped up entire stay. Bathroom is nasty. I had to clean it myself! TV doesn't work! Phone doesn't work! Poor lighting inside room. The room is dingy. Hot tub is nasty. White film on top of water and it's not bubbles. Water is murky green. Swimming pool is a murk blue. Not clear at all. Sauna doesn't work at all!
I came for the amenities only! Birthday weekend is ruined! I wanted to relax and rejuvenate my body. And I can't even use the bathroom in my room. I called several times from my cell phone and never got anyone to answer the phone. Property offered $20.86 for my inconvenience and this not satisfactory!
Check in was fast and easy, front desk staff very nice, hotel smelled and looked clean, room was clean, beds were comfy, hotel was quiet, hot tub and pool were dirty, the hot tub didn't work correctly. Breakfast was good, they have eggs, biscuits and gravy, different breads and muffins, cereals, waffles, yogurts and yummy juices. If I come back to OKC i will stay here again
0/5 Do not stay here! We were given keys to a room that was already being used. We walked into a very clearly occupied room with active keys and luckily nobody was in the room at the time. We immediately go back and the guy is apologetic and they clean us a room and get us in, 15 plus minutes after we walked into someone else's room. The bed was clean and decent, no complaints. Dingy furniture, poor lighting, dirty bathroom. So much false advertising with the pictures posted online. Just overall unappealing and not worth what we paid. I'm tempted to reach out to corporate or a higher authority about why and how we were allowed keys to some else's room, the safety issues and the dirty old furniture. A refund is in order. This was for my birthday weekend and was severely let down by the state of the rooms.
I give 0 stars. This was the absolute worst experience for me and my family. I booked a reservation 6 hours ahead. When I got there they couldn't find my reservation. I then made another one. They couldnt find that one either. I had to make a 3rd and pay 3x. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Breakfast was terrible. They they said you cant take it to your room. No meat but you have to use a card to get it. Pool is broken. The front desk guy has the worst customer service. I have to wait until the manager is back on Monday to even complain. He seemed to think it was funny that my paid reservations wouldn't pull up in their system after reviewing my confirmation and itinerary. After all this we went to take showers in the morning and the water does not get hot. I want a full refund for this stay.. Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name affiliated with this location.
I’m giving this hotel two stars only because of the location and low price—“you get what you pay for” rings true here. While it offers good value in that regard, the overall experience was disappointing.
The hotel’s condition is poor. The carpets are in terrible shape, the hallways reek of marijuana, and the bathroom floor was dirty. I even found a baby cockroach on the desk. The pool and hot tub are murky, making it hard to see your legs under the water, and there were no towels available to dry off afterward.
What made things worse was the management. They were some of the cheapest, most unaccommodating people I’ve encountered. For example, I saw a staff member tell a guest they couldn’t bring a cup of water back to their room, and the owner himself stopped someone from taking a plate of hotel breakfast to their room. Basic requests were treated as huge inconveniences.
When we ran out of towels, we went to the front desk and were told we had to return the dirty towels before they’d give us new ones—a policy I’ve never encountered in all my years of staying at hotels. Our shower head broke, and despite multiple assurances from the front desk that someone would fix it, no one ever showed up. Eventually, we were moved to another room, but not without wasting several hours on this issue.
Additionally, we requested to change our room from a King to a Double Queen. The owner initially agreed to it and told us he’d update the reservation “in a few minutes” free of charge. However, when we returned to the desk later, he claimed that all the Double Queens had been sold. While it wasn’t a major issue, the way it was handled felt disorganized and frustrating.
In short, the hotel gets the job done, but it’s not a place I would recommend for a comfortable or pleasant stay. If you’re looking for budget accommodations, it might work, but don’t expect beyond that.
Noah was an absolute legend helping me out. Service was awesome! The rooms was clean and the breakfast had a great variety! Would definitely stay again! 10/10 recommend
The bed was comfortable. The extra charges when checking in were a little much. They took $5 more than my online receipt when I reserved the room. There was another $6.99 hospitality charge. Then they charged $50 that is supposed too be refunded. It's been 3 days and had not been refunded yet. The alarm on the clock was broken. The key card took forever to open the door.
